Wondering if anyone can help me out. Want to get a vpn account, but looking at the prices I dont want to pull the trigger just yet. Anyone has a spare account I can try out for max 3 days? Just want to see if its worth it.

If just looking to change IP location, look at maybe Windscribe free tier, it depends on which country your friend bought the gift from, however.

Maybe, but I also don't see why I would gift someone anything if they wouldn't trust me with the same thing,

I paid someone to buy me a game as a gift from Argentina, its cheaper there. Did not know I wont be able to accept it. Its showing up as a gift, I just cant do anything with it lol.

You can’t change your country without having a payment method for that country.
That’s why none of VPNs you tried have worked.

You could try reaching out to Steam Support but you’re looking for a solution for regular ‘gifts’.

You can’t change your country without having a payment method for that country.

You could try reaching out to Steam Support but you’re looking for a solution for regular ‘gifts’.

You can set it to a different country, you just wont be able to buy something from the store without a payment method, been searching around and apparently it works with some paid vpn`s, but not with any free ones.

Yeah I`ve seen, but still R200 for something that Im not 100% sure will work.

Tried it now, has a bunch of small countries like Belarus but no Argentina.

Ive done that using tigervpn, could set it to Argentina and filled in everything, but it just gave me an error saying I should try again later.

Get a free cloud account from somewhere (there are some) build a small VM, doe your thing, trash VM.
Alternatively setupyour own vpn between your house and this cloud vm
