This headset looks great, has some decent reviews, and Pengu streams live with it. yeah I know he's sponsored but still, I don't think he'd stream with a kak headset.

I'm itching to buy it... I'm searching for premium imaging/positional audio, specifically in Siege, and to a lesser degree, Overwatch. This seems to tick the right boxes.

Spoke to a Logitech representative at Comicon yesterday and he recommended this over Hyperx also Techgirl Samantha Wright has spoken about these since she has partnered with Logitech G recently

I got mine on Friday and it's awesome. Much Better than my HyperX Cloud Flights.

How’s the positional audio? If SILTECH farts in an adjacent room or a room down the hallway or up/downstairs, would you be able to pinpoint his position on the map and also the direction his arse was facing?

Ok well that’s a surprise. A Logitech rep recommended these over HyperX. Didn’t see that one coming. But surprises like that aside, I’ve read, watched and am also getting great feedback on these from guys I game with. Might have to go in and see for myself...

This is unlike you normally you buy and then "see" slacking nowadays it seems must be all that hype up in your head

Well it's the best Gaming Headset I've ever owned. We play a lot of Rainbow Six and the positional audio is Much better than the HyperX to be honest. The Mic on this headset is a beast as well. Look I'm no audiophile, but I've owned my fare share of high end gaming headsets and this is the best so far:cool:

I'm specifically looking at this for R6, it's pretty much the only game I play (alongside OW.. but more R6).. Jokes aside, seeing that you play Siege, so you understand how important positional audio is in this game, a few questions that will help me loads:

Are you relying only on R6's sound engine for positional audio or are you using the Pro X's DTS surround? Also are you using mobo sound or a sound card? I read the Logitech DTS Headphone X 2.0 surround is absolute junk.

Can you pinpoint where a nearby sound is coming from with close to 100% confidence? I mean like the exact room if its' a room or 2 away? Or, if it's only a room away, can you get a fair idea of where in the room it's coming from? By "sound" I don't mean only gunshots, but footsteps and other operator sounds as well (like shuffling if prone etc.)

Can you pinpoint if a sound is on the same level or below or above you with almost 100% confidence? Doesn't matter if the sound is close or far, I'm more interested in the ability to determine same level or up or down.

The R6 sound engine for me my bud, The Pro X DTS surround is Crap. I can pinpoint someone on the windows repelling and on which side of the window they are or if someone is in the room next to me. I use to struggle with the difference when it came to which level a player was on but with the Pro X i can actually tell the difference now.

The best for me now is i can pinpoint where the drone sounds are coming from as well and they are easier to find. The scary part about this headset is that if you are someone that is really good at setting up a equalizer on your own headset this thing will most probably even sound better and you can set it to your taste, I just use the profiles on the headset and i promise you this thing is a monster.

I don't know which headset you are using now so i would be hard for me to compare it, but like i said i have used most of them and it's hard to find anything that comes close to this Headset for gaming.

What headset are you using now my bud?

Thanks. Mmm I'm pretty sold based on this info. I'm currently using a Sennhesier 800S and before that an Astro A50 Gen 3, which I gave to my son a few months back as he's a huge online FPS'er. The Sennheiser is great, and theoretically it will have much better imaging than the G Pro X, but even with the 800S I struggle to consistently pinpoint sounds accurately.. which is what peaked my interest in the G Pro X when two of my R6 team bought it this past weekend, and both have only great things to say about it (they both came from the A50).

Ok so you are an Audiophile if you own Senn 800s. That makes it even better for you then as you can set these bad boys to even suit you better than what i'm getting now:cool:.

Why did I visit this page? Damn you Ninja. I will wait till you give the final verdict when you back and used them on R6.

I had a listen to them here in the UAE at Virgin Megastore. The sales people actually pluged it into a gaming laptop for me to test them and the directional sound with Windows spatial sound on was really good. I considered them, but really wanted to try the DT990 instead. They are also very well priced TBH. O and my head was a little too big for them to sit comfortably.

I wonder if Windows Spatial is better than Dolby Atmos for Headphones? I’m not impressed with Dolby Atmos for Headphones. Only tested it in Siege so far..

The thing I want to test with the G Pro X is it’s gaming specific tuning. I’m interested to hear if that differs in any significant way from the way music HPs are tuned. I ordered it, so will hear soon enough.

As per the seinnheiser stall representatives they mentioned at comic con latest wireless GSP 670 should drop in by november side had a look at the product there really nice but at 7k no thanks

Agreed. I'll report back shortly.

I downloaded some Profiles from the Logitech Hub yesterday, I downloaded one for R6 and let me tell you it's even better than the one I'm using now and the sound stage is much better as well.

Nice! Which one? I’d like to pass it on to the guys I jam with.
