Howsit All,

Having a few issues for general day to day, basically just want to set static colours and be done, but fuck you apparently because software is horseshit across the board xD

PC Specs that need to sync:
Asus Crosshair VII Hero
Adata XPG D50 RAM
Corsair H150i pro
Asus TUF GPU

Lighting:

Armoury Crate
Corsair iCUE
Adata XPG SYNC beta software

Ok so Adata software is less so, I used it for my ram and was good to just set it, but it instantly dies after the first time. Won't open a second time, but you set once and don't have to again.

Armoury Crate is a rotten pile of mosquito shit, removing this program is a fucken nightmare as it leaves so much shit behind and you have to dig for it. it is somewhat nice but Asus software doesn't register it's own Asus Motherboard, ffs. It only reads my RAM.

iCUE seems good, but I cannot get it to work, it reads my AIO and my Motherboard (sometimes) but won't see my RAM at all. There is a plugin to link Armoury Crate and iCUE, which does work but leads into the next issue, monitoring software.

Monitoring Software:

Argus Monitor
HWinfo64
MSI Afterburner
Armoury Crate
iCUE

I take it you can imagine the fuck up of monitoring with the above. It throws hwinfo64's monitoring out fucked. I had Argus because it's the only software that allows you to control case fans on a GPU and generally great software. Only issue is it doesn't have an overlay that I can hotkey otherwise I'd have stuck to just. HWinfo64 is fantastic, but easily gets stuffed around with so much other kak and turning them settings off to not monitor corsair/asus sensors didn't help.

Fuck Armoury Crate, seriously, not only are both Armoury & iCUE adding more monitoring unnecessarily, I cannot turn the monitoring off, I need the two to link the all the hardware but not going to run a billion monitoring programs that just eat resources.

Point: Is there a way to get iCUE or another piece of 1 software to control lighting across the PC, because iCUE's latest update supposedly brings the Crate plugin into the program without you having to install it post iCUE install, but that isn't true in my experience as it won't sync shit, and I know because while removing the 10 billion instances of Armoury crate the plugin was last to go and kept the profile sync'd up until that was uninstalled. So if I can merge these into 1 software that doesn't monitor temps etc, or I can at least switch monitoring off that would be great. As then HWinfo64 can run when necessary & argus & MSI can be the main monitoring apps.

Then CTR 2.1

Fok weet, I open it and it produces an error you cannot rea the extent of in the textbox that gives you the updates. The text above that that usually names your hardware is not doing so, just says mobo & cpu. I also cannot run the software at all, it sometimes does the first Cinebench run but that's it. I have set all the relevant bios settings to try get something from it and nothing. Reinstalled and same, At this point I think it's a windows issue as I've redownloaded it as well and same result. Anyoone have an experience where ti flat out refuses to train, it opens and that's it. I can't even turn off auto start with windows xD

TLDR;
Lighting software is fucked
Monitoring software is fucked
Tuning software is fucked.

Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk.

Icue was working perfectly with MSI software installed as well. As soon as I added Armory Crate (damn Asus Strix) all hell broke loose. I still battle to get all the software removed (Asus).
Suddenly Icue don,t pick up my Gskill ram and Fractal AIO anymore. IOW, none of my RGB stuff can be synchronized anymore.
I disable the whole lot, but after every restart, back on to default they are.

So it seems as if all the software does not play nice with each other. Don,t have a solution yet. RGB, and all free Signal RGB etc software does not work.

I also gave up on getting mobo headers to properly do any sort of nice RGB.
I managed to get everything working perfectly using SignalRGB, but you need a supported controller to get it to work.

I'm running 6 Corsair fans, a Capellix cooler and 3 Phanteks neon light strips off two lighting node cores. The Corsair ram works straight out of the box on SignalRGB.

Once everything is detected in Signal you can do layouts for some nice timed RGB or even some screen mirroring on the RGB.

Use revo uninstaller to remove Armoury crask, and then in C drive there should also be a folder called ass live, remove that as well and anything else Armoury crate logo in Revo. There's a few, but sometimes you have to kill the process and hit uninstall in a second or two otherwise it reboots the service.

Thanks @CUDweiser Lite

Did use revo. Also went through registry, small shithouse full of keyes etc there. Manually deleted. Fairly certain most is gone. BUT now none of the other software work right anymore.

Also revo all, re installed etc, no luck.

Also remove any trace in registry by just find nexting anything related.

SignalRGB is fantastic but the CPU usage bugged me a bit; at least they're honest enough to actually include a realtime CPU usage indicator on the app's main screen so you can see what kind of an impact your settings are having.

Through all my years of trying to get different software working nicely together I eventually fell down the rabbit-hole of building a machine around the software instead of the other way around. I have a Gigabyte mobo and EVGA GPU, but everything else that has lighting is Corsair and it
Just.
Fucking.
Works.

Waiting for Corsair to make GPUs and mobos...

Edit - I lied - my keyboard and mouse are Ducky and Logitech, but I don't really care about their RGB

Fully agree here, Corsair everything, and if its not Corsair, snip off the standard ARGB 3pin and graft a Corsair plug onto it :ROFLMAO:
