Hey guys, so I currently have my 4670k over clocked to 4.4 GHz using the Asrock overclock software on my motherboard. I have 16gigs of 1600 ram. I can't really afford a 1151 upgrade and my current system can't play PUBG and stream at the same time. I also do video editing and 3d design like sketchup and unreal engine which kills my processor I think. Is the R700+- upgrade to a 4770k worth it? I have my doubts that the increase will actually be noticeable although I'm sure there will be some.

I'm running an h100i, 800w PSU, msi 980 and a asrock z87 killer motherboard (I think)

Cheers

Depending on the price and performance increase [emoji23]

What gcard you running? I can run PUBG and stream with my 1060 over 100 fps solid. And I don't have to have it on potatoe graphics haha.

I'm not sure what sort of performance gains you will see though. I currently have my 4790k at 4.7.

I have a 980, so i guess a CPU upgrade is worth it [emoji23] how much you selling your 4790k for?

I am also using a 980 at the moment with my 4770k (z87 Mpower). I have no real issues with PUBG at 1440p with low settings. Roughly 80 - 90 fps (Gsync is real amazing for these situations :p). Check your gpu usage, that will often give an indication of whether your cpu is holding your fps back.

Comparing my 4770k with an 8600k, I get the same performance with a 980, but swap that out with a 980ti and the 8600k yields 5-10 frames more. I don't know if a 4770k would be worth it. Perhaps wait it out and save up for a newer gen build. I can perhaps do some benchmarks and we can compare results if you like?

That would be awesome. I play pubg on lowest with AA and PP on ultra. I usually get 120 frames but when I stream to twitch I get around 60. I dunno if you use OBS or anything like that though.

Another guy on here in another thread mentioned something about streaming issues with Twitch, he said streaming works much better on YouTube. What quality are you streaming to Twitch with? Is your CPU hitting 100% when you stream?
