Edit: Forgot to mention battery is in great condition. No way to give actual measurements. I don't think there is an app for that.
But I just updated it to the latest version of the OS that it supports. Had it full charged and listened to some music on and off for the last 3 days. Battery is at about 90% without any charging more than the initial full charge.
I will also throw an old cable in. It is a bit old so its not the best at charging or data. So I suggest getting a cheap cable.

What's it like in 2023? Are there still many apps/games available on the store? Considering it as a toy for my 4 year old.

Unfortunately it's already sold and out for delivery to @Cicci890724
And I'll be closing once he has received and is happy.


However if you do spot one available elsewhere it's still relatively okay.
It's not going to play the new games. But there is still a large catalogue of older kids games that run just fine.
The screen is a bit small. Think iphone SE
But for a kid it's not bad. Camera isn't bad either. Not great. But better than something on a cheapie new phone.
Same goes for the screen quality.
So for a kid it's not too bad.
And not bulky like the cheap kids tablets most people buy for their child.
And also not going to destroy someone's toes if the thing gets dropped.

I would still say its best feature is music and runtime. User interface and all that is still great and will run for days if the battery is still good.

I wasn't sure if you could still load apps on it from the store, so that's a nice plus for a retro device.
It would have been more of a camera because my child loves taking pictures.
