FYI
--------
5Ghz @ 1.34v on a Hero X Daily
Temp's 77c after 30 minutes real bench stress test

The CPU has gone to 5.1Ghz @1.4v , 5Ghz Cache - 1707 Cinabench
Temps 86C after 30 minutes real bench stress test

This is just a feeler for now just looking if there might be interest, Depends on how the 9700k benches

I would assume this is with no AVX offset. Also running my 8700k at 5ghz daily, but with -2 AVX offset. max core temps hit 62C in Aida64 for 30mins. Delidded and custom watercooling. If you have a 8700k, there is no reason to go 9700k. If you had a 4790k, then ya, that would make sense.

Would you be willing to sell your mobo as well? I'm currently CPU bottle-necked, but on the Z170 chipset

The 9700K does offer better FPS in most titles with my testing (not much) and should offer better overclocking (in theory) but the 9700K chip I have been testing with is a bad performer and runs hot so might give this a skip and just hold onto the 8700k

Yep no AVX Offset on both , Also best Cinabench was 1716 and 229 single on the 8700K
