Intel is teasing performance figures for the upcoming Intel® ARC A750 graphics card against the NVIDIDA GeForce® RTX 3060. No pricing is given but I suspect it should retail for roughly the same price as the RTX 3060. More information should be available closer to retail availability, but so far looking good.

Directly from Intel:

"Intel Arc graphics will be at its best in games when running on a modern API like DX12 and Vulkan. Across nearly 50 tested titles, we are showing a great gaming experience at both 1080p Ultra and 1440p High settings, and a 3-5% performance advantage compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 in matching settings. For games not tested that use modern APIs, and future games that are built on them, we are confident Intel Arc graphics cards will continue to provide excellent gaming experiences."

They really should come in at $50-$100 less than the 3060 to establish market share. They shouldn't look at this first gen as a money maker, more as an invitation to get their foot in the door. Driver issues are going to plague this thing (as they already are) and the terrible performance on DX11 titles is a serious hamper, so coming in at 3060 pricing is a non-starter in my books.

Cut the price, make some money but more importantly, display competence. That gives them a horse in the race and adds them to the discussion. Right now they're a hopeful novelty with serious drawbacks over the incumbent players.

From what I understand based on the video Linus made they are basing their pricing around the worst performing engine (DX11), and then looking at cards that perform similarly on that engine to get an idea for pricing.

Will still have to see if they stick to this or not however.

So basically, how much does a 1650 cost these days? 😆

Gamers Nexus did a good video too and driver issues seem to be the order of the day. It's an absolute mess. Obviously that can be fixed, but it does mean that the user experience is going to be super crap for the first year. They need to price accordingly.
