If you had 120k

Def would buy 330D again, current one (2001 E46 facelift) on 220-000kms. Still original turbo, clutch etc. Only things i have had to fix is 1 injector and the inlet manifold burst. Awesome torque, awesome economy (average 16ks a litre over the last 60-000kms) and cheap to maintain as i do my own maintenance.

I would either get a Corsa OPC, or like i did get myself for 120K the Astra G OPC in mint condition which only 150 were ever brought into the country and something like only 8000 were made world wide :)

But that is just me haha, I'm an Opel fanatic, so by posting this I know everyone will wanna hate on so its fine :D

Niiiiice:cool:

Would you by any chance have another 120k for maintenance?

Looking at that 16L/100km I would have that money by the side for fuel lol, aaaaand its not like you gonna ride it grandma style.

Just to be different. Considering the s..t Eskom is in (which really is way worse than what is being reported, but to keep this post short I will skip that part), if I had 120k I would spend it on going off-grid i.e solar geyser, solar panels, gas appliances etc.

It will be an absolute miracle if the power situation doesn't get worse than it is, and this situation will last more than a decade at the minimum.

I'd buy a new small car with a R120 K. Or put a deposit down on a house. Depends on what situation you are in.

If a BMW goes wrong, be prepared to pay.

If you have 120k.... cud will be a bitch... always wanted a R100k rig :p

If I had first thing would be a track bike and go racing haha!!!!

Holy shit you're incredibly stupid. First the dog thing and now this. I hope you get a bike and let natural selection run its course.
Jeez dude, what crawled up your ass?

To get a older performance car that might hammer you on maintenance vs getting a new bike? I got a bike. Cheaper on gas, maintenance, and initial layout and therefore insurance.

You also get to actually enjoy the experience instead of being isolated from the world and just going fast.

Bonus points for being able to get through gridlock during load shedding or even just normal bad traffic days.

As an additional boon to society: a reckless knob on a bike would cause less collateral damage.

So where do you carry the groceries that you wanted a car for? The OP asked about cars, why even mention a bike? Not to mention a month after the last post.

Get it delivered or get a backpack, panniers and/or a top box. Or use your girlfriends car ;)

There was little mention of why the OP wanted a car criteria wise.

Jeeez, you friends with that kid? Your logic seems just as solid.

Hey guys what's the best PC I can get for R7k - GET A PS4!!! Wow

It's all about criteria which was lacking in this thread. If gaming is your goal a PS4 could be a good answer.

It's at the very least more conducive than being an asshole wishing death upon people.

Pyro , Mike is literally just trying to argue for the sake of it. His ego should take a vacation, and he should take a nice long walk off a short peer. (y)
You could get such a solid motorbike for R60 000, incl gear. And this is the 2st centuary Mike (twat). You can get groceries delivered to you.

Pyro doesn't mean you should be purposely obtuse. He asked for a car, why recommend a bike? It's just nonsensical.

@Kyrotex, spend more time in school. You're still really dumb.

Don't worry, Mike. Atleast I'll finish school.

I'm not worried in the slightest. I was giving you some advice. I'm not sure if I'll be impressed with you, or disappointed in the education system.

It's an alternative many don't consider yet might tick all their boxes.
The lack of criteria justifies this.

What justifies your outburst?

Pyro I disagree. As someone who has owned a bike, I think most people consider and eliminate bikes because of their lack of versatility.

If you someone manage to find validity in recommending a bike to someone who asked for car recommendations, you really won't understand.

As I said, there was no real criteria from the OP.
Is this meant to be a daily driver? An only car? If the OP was more specific you could rule out bikes.

For R120k you can buy a cheap car and a bike which is arguably more versatile than just a car.

I've been riding for more than four years and I've ridden mostly bike for more than a year. I'm again seriously considering selling my car. It's gathering cobwebs and costing me money. I have to keep it hooked up to a charger for crying out loud!

LOL

Im supposed to be the nOOB around here but sh*t guys :D

1.) my mazda 6 MPS I own at the moment :D

2.) mercedes c270 cdi W203 face lift great all round car and very light on diesel

3.) Honda Accord type S

Depends on if you wanna be sensible or not. I think the sensible choice would be a 1 year old Polo Vivo but if you don't feel like banging your head against the dash in boredom then you're going to have to go for a very old car with some clout.

Problem is...

120k + Performance = Old

Old + Performance = Quite Fu... err Worn In

I should become a maths prof soon ;)
