i7-14700k max power draw and mobo connectors

Was just wondering if anyone could advise on whether a motherboard with 1x8 pin and 1x4 pin CPU connectors will be sufficient to deliver the required wattage for an i7-14700k at PL2 [253w++] ?
I understand 1x8 pin and 1x4 pin are rated at around 225w safely, but with the i7 and the VRMs being capable of delivering more, would this be an issue in the long term?
The connectors could potentially get slightly warmer than stated if they are pushed past their rated capacity?

I have the option to swap the mobo [mobo has not left the supplier yet] for something with 2x8 pin CPU connectors such as the MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk Max, which can deliver 300w on the connectors.
The current motherboard is a Gigabyte Z790 Aero G, which I had settled on, but only learnt of the Power limits on the connectors fairly recently.

Before everyone comes at me for buying an intel, yes I know it's power hungry and yes the Ryzen X3D chips are better for gaming, but I require cores for rendering and other work related tasks😂.
Yes, my PSU is more than capable, it is a 1200w after all.
 
Even a single 8pin eps on an itx motherboard is sufficient.
So your board should be fine.

If you're ever worried go look at X299 boards and see how many of those come with only one 8 pin or 8+4. Also 8 pin EPS is good for like 400W you'll be fine mate.

Had two x299 systems and both had 2x8 pins, both are since deceased.

Thanks! See there is a bit of misinformation online regarding the 8 pin EPS vs the 8 pin for VGA...

Yeah PCIe is rated for 150w for an 8 pin but can actually do about 253w.
Not sure what the EPS is actually rated for but I know it works perfectly at like 400w.
