I am trying to set up a home network and I have very limited knowledge. If someone can point me to a course or video or website (even if it is paid content) that can help me. The little bit I knew about Homegroup is irrelevant seeing it is no longer available.
I have 3 desktops that is on the network and a NAS and WD MyCloud Home. I am using a Uqiquiti AmplifiHD mesh network with the network storage connected via cable and one pc is cable whereas the other two is wifi. I would like to set it up that all pc's have access to the network storage. I suspect windows credentials might be a problem, but not sure. I can't seem to hit the nail when using Google to get something that actually works. I have a separate laptop that I use in some instances and it connects to everything as well, but I am also logged into it with my microsoft account. Also to mention the other two desktops is for my kids and I don't use a microsoft account to log into their pc's, is there a downside in using it or should I just go ahead and use the microsoft accounts for them. I didn't do it just because I wasn't sure if it will collect information from them unknowingly.
Any suggestion welcome
