China have banned exchanges from accepting bank deposits. They have until the 15th of April to comply. Would be great if we could just remove China from the equation.

there was a false report a week ago(must have been a leak) then late last week the official announcement came through

I feel a need to further diversify my crypto portfolio; partly for the purposes of hedging, partly because I believe that newer coins have higher potential for growth. Yes, more risk too . Doge has shown us how other currencies can make a significant impact. I've switch my miner to a pool which mines altcoins and pays out in NXT.
However, I'm more interested in the 'Bitcoin 2.0' implementations - Mastercoin, Colored Coins, Bitshares, Ethereum. These are not really currencies, but certainly interesting options for diversification.

I'm confident that the Bitcoin price will bounce back though. I haven't sold/traded any yet. Not quite this confident though: Man has filmed himself eating his hat after losing a bet regarding the price of Bitcoin.

Can't trust the Chinese :/

Actually I would rather trust the Chinese if we look at scandals such as Enron, banking sector scams (mainly with fractional reserve banking and hence why cryptos are so popular), oil-country invasions, NSA, 9/11 and the 10ish!! year hunt for Osama in the desert etc etc. Most are very well known scams but others are speculations or just pokings into the smoke screen which is the Yoonyted States of 'Murica! I think I should be crowned off topic king.

Sigh, as predicted, heading to 430 now. I stand by my statement of HOLD.

Still, now is a pretty good time to buy into coins if you missed it earlier.
