Anyone else that bought one, are you struggling with lower back pain? I'm sitting straight, feet on foot rest. Does not matter where I put the support pad, or even if I remove it, my lower back gets really sore :( Does it take time to get used to it? I've had it for about 4 days now and I've been through a few long sessions already.

I'm short 1.72m and not very big built.

Very strange, this is the best chair I have sat on.

I don't have any back pain.

I'm not having any backpain. 2 questions that you probably need to look at:

1. how long do you sit at a time? if you're sitting for long hours, try taking frequent short breaks (5-10 mins)
2. did you have backpain before you started using this chair?

I havent had any back issues(lower or upper). Have you tried turning the lumbar support around and see if it makes a difference?

0 lower back pain from me, average height, average build.

This is an excellent point - the lumbar support has two sides with different profiles. Mine was on the thicker side, which I didn't like, so I flipped it around to the thinner side.

1. I usually take a break every hour. I did not have pain like this on my previous chair.
2. Yeah I have tried it in a couple of places. No placement is comfortable for me. I have since removed it to check if that will work.

Yeah the thicker side also did not work for me, so I flipped it around. But still, same issue.

Thanks for all the replies guys :)

I use mine without the lumbar support, what chair did you have before this ?

No, that makes you a sad sheep.

@PandaAttack1 and @Panda 🐼 are pandas (whether sad or happy?)
Happy Panda here. More on point though, also have 2 of these chairs in our office from @heinreich. He forgot I bought them cause I dared ask for a discount. :p

One currently being used by a 1.6m ~60kg guy and the other by a 2m ~95kg guy. No complaints and all sunshine.

Personally I plop my phatass on a Mirra 2 at work and home, so can't comment on the Aeron.

Also, don't let Herman Miller's CEO change your opinion on the chairs. She is a crazy old lady, but the Aerons are solid chairs. If you are spending 5.5 k on a chair, there is no way you are getting better value than this.

waaait, what - there are discounts? shipping is a bitch to the neverlands, so that might make up for it

only ever sat on a mirra, how does it compare to the aeron?

I did not say I received a discount, I asked. :p

Sheesh, that is a difficult question to answer. I sat in the Aeron for all of 10 minutes. The Mirra seems to be a bit more adjustable, and feels a bit more modern. As to actually comparing the chairs, I can't really say dude. Different, but same same?

Both these Aerons and the Mirras are excellent quality though. The Mirras still look new after ~4years of daily use, even the chairs from heinrich look new.

I am same height,
honestly i wasnt the biggest fan, but now im comfy, make sure your knees are at 90 degree's, sit with good posture and you will get used to it. I.E those little muscles that don't work because of prior shit posture become stronger.

I sit in this thing a good few hours a day and have no issues.
