Don't ask me, ask any one of the eight million people around the world that sit on one. They apparently produce a million of them each year, too.

It's the most successful office chair in history for a reason.

Best decision I've made for my neck and back! I do 12 hour shifts on these and I am quite heavy(lets just say more than 130kg) and I haven't had an issue everything still works exactly as it did on day one. Only regret I have is not buying this in the first place and wasting money on gaming and office chairs before it.

I've only had mine a couple of months. But no issues so far. In the US they sell them with a 12-year warranty, so they back them to last a good long while.

Can I jump in here and ask what makes these chairs so good? I get it has excellent build quality and they are very comfortable but how? Nothing about the chair looks that great…what does sitting in one feel like compared to other chairs and how do you know it’s THAT much better than what you had before?

I spend most of my days standing/walking around so,to me, a chair is anything I can put my ass on.

Like I told @rockstar1307 - either you know or you dont. Its super subjective in the sense that I cannot explain the colour blue to you; you will just need to experience it yourself. I see you're in PTA; so if you're ever in Roodepoort or Benoni, reach out and I'll arrange a viewing (seating?). Then you can at least answer that question for yourself.

(Spoiler: Sitting in it for 5 minutes is like anywhere else really - you know its comfortable but big woop. Sitting in it for 5 hours changes the ball game )

If you ever switch to a job where you spend most of your day sitting, you'll quickly realise what the drawbacks are of basic chairs.

What makes the Aeron good for me:
- Mesh everywhere, which means you never get sweaty and you never get that feeling of having sat "through" the cushion onto the hard frame of the chair
- The shape of the front of the seat: it curves downward, which means you don't get the feeling that the edge of the seat is cutting into the back of your thighs
- The armrests are very thick and soft, and a good shape, so your elbows don't get sore and your shoulders don't shrug up when you're typing or moving the mouse
- The tilt mechanism responds naturally when you move in the chair, unlike some chairs which tend to try to fold you in half like a pellet gun
