Hi!
I recently purchased a new motherboard and CPU from Wootware and it seems the bios it came with does not support the 13th gen chip that I had bought. I am looking for someone who can maybe advice or if there anyone in the southern suburbs that can help me with this?
It seems I need to get my hands on a 12th gen chip or buy a different motherboard. Both options imo is ridiculous unless I am just an idiot for not predicting this. I have emailed wootware support for assistance too.

Usually if you buy a motherboard and CPU from woot they will update the bios before they send it out. Did they confirm the bios was not updated ?

Always specify that you want bios updated in cases like this, wootware does do this for customers. You probably have to send it back to them if going the wootware route.

I assumed the same. I am still waiting for a response from them. I imagine it's a mistake then but I did wait 2 weeks and this being my workstation which I have wasted a day so far fixing has caused me some irritation. Knowing that I won't be up and running by this evening is pretty painful.

Give their live chat a go since they usually respond instantly

Thanks, will have to try.
Do you know where I can find this?
I can't seem to find it on mobile, can't really use the pc either haha.

Manufacturers should really just make all mobos have BIOS Flashback
Yeah I wish. Maybe there is someone nearby who can assist instead. Would be 10x faster then shipping it back to them to fix and then ship back eating up my leave days because I can't work.

Unfortunately i don't think it works on mobile as i don't see a option also. Think PC is the only way to use their live chat

Try and find out if anyone in your area has an 12th gen CPU and ask them if you can take the Mobo to them and do an upgrade.

Damn... and they discontinued being able to call them too so I'm just left waiting. Thank you for checking it out though, I appreciate it.

Dude so I had this exact problem 3 weeks ago. You don’t need to send you motherboard back, most motherboards have a flash utility built into them, did you notice the different colored usb port on the back?
I have checked your motherboard and it looks like it is supported.
It’s called “ASUS EZ Flash 3”
Everyone company calls there software something different.

Just check how it works in your case but for me it was downloading the firmware on a usb stick and plugging it into the colorful usb port.
I had to bridge a thingy on the board then wait till the light stopped flashing and it was done.

Just check for a youtube vid
“ How to update bios with ASUS EZ Flash 3”

Hope this helps

Hey!
Thanks, I just took a look to confirm but it seems I'd need to be able to access BIOS in order to do this which unfortunately I can not.
I don't even get USB power after turning on let alone getting to BIOS.
I have messaged Wootware and they are willing to help me out, this does mean I have had to re-assemble my old machine which is not ideal.
Looks like my best option is to send it back and let them run the BIOS update and check for any other potential issues.
Thanks all for your help!
I appreciate your assistance!

Check your motherboard bro. Your mobo support flash. Just get a PC/Laptop and Flash drive, then download the correct Bios to the Flash Drive. If done correctly, then it will just be a plug and play to update your Bios. I believe that your mobo supports it.
