Hey guys,
A happy permanent power Namibian here.
So greateful for not having to deal with loadshedding!!
Unfortunately my brother is still a student in South Africa and the load shedding is really getting to him.
So I am here looking for some advice. There are so many options that vary greatly in price and I'm just trying to find a solution that my poor bro doesn't need to sit in the dark.
He has a tiny flat and is a gamer his PC draws probably around 500w.
A lot of times he doesn't have power in the crucial cooking times.
He has a laptop too for light gaming and so forth.
We are looking for a solution for him that he can run during load shedding.
I have 0 Clue on what exactly is needed to run what he has. His PC doesn't need to be running but would be a bonus. preferably at least the laptop so he can do his class work.
There is a router and a small fridge and charging for small things like phones etc..
We are looking to get something that we can bring back to Namibia when he is done so nothing that needs to be permanently installed.
Ive been looking at these Geewiz inverter boxes just not sure what is exactly needed for his setup.
Looking to spend no more than 25k. Cheaper would obviously be better.
Also are there any small hob options that can run of this inverter? Man barely gets to cook his food lately......
any other advice also greatly appreciated.
Honestly cant believe that this is something that you guys have learnt to live with.....
Thank you
PS. sorry if this is already answered in another thread, I did a quick search and could not find any real answers.
