[Feeler] Headphones/DACS/AMPS and MISC import

Hi guys.

This will be the 3rd import I've done.

A lot of you have requested non Sennheiser headphone brands, which was not available from the site I ordered from previously.

The purpose of this thread is to gauge the interest in importing headphone related products (headphones/dacs/amps/cables and other accessories).

Now this is where it gets really difficult:

Please post/pm me the specific item you want and I'll send you a quote of the best price I could find it for you from a variety of sites (amazon/ebay/headphone.com and other international sellers).

If there's enough interest in the same seller's items, I'll do a combined order, otherwise I'll send you instructions/recommendations on how to order.

To give you a few examples of items I recently ordered:

1) Little dot MKIII: Ebay (Total cost: R1562)
2) Little dot DAC I: Ebay (Total cost so far: R2311)
3) Silver interconnect RCA cables: Ebay R121
Upcoming: Power and driver tubes for my Little dot

As you can see, I love Ebay so far

I'll be posting a separate thread for the next Sennheiser order, but you're free to request sennheiser products available at other sites.

For those of you wondering why I'd consider amazon (seeing as they don't ship to SA anymore) you=u can circumvent that by shipping to a myUS address, where the package is simply rerouted to SA

You can if you order directly through Amazon.com or one of their partners that'll ship. They use DHL and it's super fast. My Squeezebox was shipped on the 2nd and I got it the 5th. It's like using a courier for local items.

Some items amazon does ship. No idea what the criteria's are but i got my HD598's from Amazon

Ok so here goes, everyone can get an idea of the price too!

Audioengine D1 (headphone dac/amp) - $ 169 on amazon
HRT HeadStreamer (same) - $ 140 on amazon

So the landed costs then! I've also got a myUS account but its better to pool shipments together. Anybody ever need a hand with importing PM but for now we support cerberus and SilvRav

ryansta, how did you do that? get them from amazon?

Ended up costing R2300 to my door though.

What is nice is they charge you for import duties et so there's no surprises when they get here
