Hdmi to vga converter

So recently i got a gtx 1070 not knowing that it only supports dvi - d and not dvi - i. I know about hdmi to vga converters but im not sure what to do at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know they only work the other way round so you can convert vga to hdmi, but not the other way around. I tried to find stuff to do this once and converters never could do it. Maybe things have changed since then

Nooo brother. thats dvi to vga. HDMI to vga is a bit more expensive

you need to find a converter with integrated chip inside,because VGA cables transmit analogue signals. HDMI is digital. would suggest the Vga to hdmi since its cheaper and hdmi is more common for future use

It's probably going to be easier and cheaper for you to replace the VGA monitor.

If you've got the cash for a 1070, I'm pretty sure you can pick up a more modern monitor. Don't bother with an adapter.

Someone just put a post up selling hdmi to dvi converters for R50 if you want , in CPT though so you may have to ship it if you not down in CPT.

Technically some HDMI to VGA converters are illegal under the DMCA act since it strips the contents protection from the HDMI signal.
That said, DMCA is American and we are not in America.
