hey okay so i bought a new 23" LED HD TV and want to run dual monitor on my computer but i have a problem with it no displaying on the tv,

I have a ASUS 9800gt and i have a DVI/HDMI converter with a HDMI cable running to the tv and my normal screen in using normal DVI output

i have tried using the normal windows setting with regards to extending the display but still no luck, i tried only using the tv and it displays the boot up but as soon as the loading into windows in done it looses signal,

much help is needed and i look forward to your assistance

If it shows the boot up screens, it means that your windows settings are incorrect. Try pressing windows key and P together, a small window should pop up which will give you various display options. Try "Extend" or "Duplicate", or if need be "Monitor Only" or "Projector Only". Note that on my system, my TV is picked up as my "Monitor" and my DVI connected screen as "Projector".

howzit i tried that and still says no signal on my TV

Have you tried fiddling around in your graphics control panel yet? Also, try using the HDMI cable on another TV or your monitor, as it may be the cable. Not likely, but I'm not sure what to do otherwise. You sure you've got your TV's input set to the right HDMI channel?

ive tried fiddling in the control panel it picks up the TV, the HDMI cable is brand new and works in another TV and my tv only had one HDMI input
