Hi Guys

I need help from anyone that is a PC Hardware Wizzo? I have a PC running a Nvidia GTX 580 but I need to run 3 monitors from it so I added 2nd card. Problem is that now the PC tries to run the games from the 2nd card and not the 580. (2nd is a GT220 btw)

I checked the mobo manual and the GTX 580 is currently in the primary PCI-e slot and due to the case/mobo/PSU setup it cant fit in any other slot either. Is there software that can force a certain card to be the primary for games? So this week I have decided to get a Nvidia Quadro 4000 to replace the GT220 and at the same get a decend boost in my Autcad performance. Now the tough question....does anyone know if a Quadro and a GTX can run together in the same system???

I checked and looks like the 580 has two DVI ports and a display port. If that is the case all you may need is this *http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/45421683/Display_Port_Male_to_DVI_Female_Adapter.html (*I'm not recommending the product, the seller, or the site. Just using an example.)

On the point about the games. Do you mean it shows on the 3rd display or renders on the 2nd card? I don't know if it's possible to render on one card and display on another. I remember there being a setting though in windows to select the primary display and display on which individual applications run. Most games should also have an option to select the rendering device. Also check your BIOS for a setting to select the primary display adapter.

Running two of any cards shouldn't be a problem but if it's in SLI it should ideally be the same models.

It won't SLi. I'm guessing it will work but your power draw will be huge. What PSU do you have? If you go into the Nvidia control panel and set the 220 as a Physx card it should come right.
