The waterproof housing is no longer "waterproof" as the previous owner has drilled 4 holes into the side of the housing for better sound. I knew this when I bought it as I also planned not to use the device under water. The sound is less muffled now. Camera works 100% and is in perfect condition. The battery lasts just over an hour.
