Wondering if I can nominate someone off forumI nominate my bru, he's struggling to put a rig together
I've organised him everything but a graphic card
He has an i7 rig that I put together from parts I collected here and der
He basically uses it as media centre till he can get graphics together

To keep this trend going I'll look through all my memory, hdd etc and put that up for someone deserving

I'll have to pay shipping of course as he in jhb

My rig is a microserver and I use xbox for games, thus I'm requesting it for my bru

Lol @ all these stories... Id say get the people to post their rig who thinks they need it and then decide who deserves it.

Hi all, I'd also like to add a +1 to Hydra's request... I wont go into the difference you would make to this gents life (Jexblex), but it would be huge! I'm in the BerZerK clan and know Jex, such a gesture would mean more to him than making gaming more playable.

To the OP, really big thumbs up to you! Honestly dude, good on you!

I agree with Hydra, I appreciate him mentioning Jexblex. I know John, Jexblex... he is in my clan and really battling with life as it is, He lives alone with his cat as his only company but such a cool old man. Teamspeak is a Jol with him humor as he still enjoys life regardless of his tough life. He has a K/D on battlefield of 0.34 or something ridiculous but no disrespect to him, he is dedicated and i believe his laptop is holding him back from full potential. We are seeking every opportunity to build him up a decent PC and bless him, i trust you will be kind enough to bless him. Thank God for generous people like you.

I am in the same clan as jexblex from greenhydra's story and jex would probaly be the most desirving person of this card.

Thank you very much for your kind offer of a graphics card to a needy person. I spoke to green hydra who told me about this post, I would also like to vouch for JexBlex as I know him very well.

Jex is a great guy and he's always helping out new gamers in our clan. He's on TeamSpeak and BF4 every night but he only gets like 20-35 fps on his dated laptop, so it causes him to spend most of his time getting killed by everyone on the server. Even though he hasn't got the best KD he stays positive and always encourages and mentors other new gamers in the competitive scene.

Unfortunately he really doesn't have much money and is just surviving on his current salary. He had saved up last year for a new PC but unfortunately his cat's leg got injured and the vet bills meant he had to use his new PC money to get his cat sorted out.
Some of the guys in our clan have PC parts that we want to donate for the guy, unfortunately no one seems to have a reasonable graphics card lying around.
If Jex got this 580 I know he would be extremely grateful and one of the happiest guys around. He's not in Durban but I am willing to pay for it to be shipped.

Thanks again and I hope that whoever you choose will appreciate the generous donation you are making.

Great Post scrime, im glad you mentioned the cat bill. So sad that he actually had money saved for PC parts and now he is left with nothing. :(

Great one OP.. I don't usually give my old stuff away on this forum purely because people here already have moneyz to buy stuff... but it seems like this Jex guy really needs it... so I vote for him =)
 
Yup. Agreed with quite a few guys on this thread, Jex does sound like he needs this. He sounds like a nice person from what people have said. Don't know the guy at all. Really nice gesture to the OP. you rock dude. May the best person be lucky enough to grab this once in a long time opportunity.

I am in La Lucia - and don't have a Graphics Card - 4870 overheated so have nothing, and need it for work and gaming.

I would greatly need and love it if its still up for grabs? :)

I truly believe that someone young like myself (It's better than my card) doesn't deserve a handout. As I still have my life ahead of me and have opportunity to earn a decent Salary, But someone who is 43 and in a rut doesn't have the chances we have. Just saying.
 
You okes are making out like he is a decrepit wizened old thing, he's is only 43 for goodness sake.

I made an account on your clan page because I saw what a great community you guys seemed like. All pulling together to help him out. We had a member in the past who was in a similar boat. It was nothing about authenticity. Just an observation lol. I would still like to jam with you guys on the server but I see it is password protected. :(

The password for their teamspeak is "bzk" as far as I remember. Don't know about the BF server.
I'm actually not a member, started my own clan after being with them a while, but I share a house with one of the BZK guys.
 
just to justify my point as others have done here - moved from PMB to Durban in July - and started my own company which is slow to take off to be honest so to say i am on a shoestring budget is an understatement. then with regards to the PC - it is used as my main work pc but now stays on for 2 min and switches off due to the GPU card. So this would be a life saver and help me make some to give back to the people around Durban.

Alas, no matter what happens - i commend you for what you are doing.
