Dead Island Definitive edition and Dead Island Riptide Definitive editions were released yesterday for those that are interested.
If you own the originals then the HD remakes are R60 or so each.
The Game of the year versions are selling for around R60 on G2A which then get's you the definitive edition for cheap as stated above.

It's quite a big saving if you're a Dead Island fan or want to get into the games.

I bought both definitive editions so it was around R65.

It's a great update to these games though, they look great and run really well.
I've always enjoyed Dead Island so it was a no-brainer for me.

Not recently. Why what's up? I don't really like all these wanna be Steam clients. In fact I can't even get myself to play Witcher 3 through my Gog client. Just wondering why I'm not interested in a Gog sale and would rather not buy and wait for the Steam sale.

Just curious. I don't really want to use another client, already use Steam, Origin and Uplay. They offer System Shock 2 for free if you try the client.

The way I see it is why must I use Gog? It doesn't offer me anything Steam offers. It's light years behind Steam. I just don't see the point. I'm forced to use Origin and UPlay for certain games. I'm not forced to use Gog. It doesn't offer me anything special above Steam. Just seems like extra overhead to me. I bought 2 games on Gog (Witcher 3 and Dungeon 2) and haven't bothered to play them cos I realised after that I'm Steam bevok.

Yeah agreed. It's going to be interesting watching Gog's quest for a DRM-free gaming world in a digital era play out. But Steam.. her brand is strong and her powers are many, and retaliate some time, she surely will.

no but see the thing is, from how we understand it now, your purchases can still be made through Steam and then you get the DRM-FREE version via GOG

(but if this is how it is going to be, then I would love to see how long it lasts, because where are they making money then?? )

but anyway, waiting patiently and empty wallet'ly for the 23rd
