Game of Thrones Season 8

What you reckon is Hound's "unfinished business" ?

We prob already know what is Arya's. So yet another kill under her belt coming.

From the start the number one thing the Hound has wanted to do was to kill.....Ser Robert Strong (not that the show leaves any doubt as to who that might be).

But is he technically still his brother ? Isn't he just a corpse under the command of Cersei ?

Yes. But likewise the Hound is just a corpse under the command of the show-writers so it's all good.

The Hound will be there until the end so they can fill their quota of edgy swearing per epsiode. That's literally his only job on the show.
He always reminds of that South Park episode where they were counting swear words.

This season, as much as I looked forward to watching it, suffers from bad script-writing. With the budget that they had, could they not write something better? Seriously? And ALL of the people signed off on this story-line? This went from A grade story with A grade effects, to C Grade story with A grade effects.

Feel like I am watching a higher-budget Hercules, now. :D I like Hercules.

If by Hercules you mean that part where Iolus was possessed by Dahak then I agree with you.

Not to mention that she has a dragon and still couldn't dispatch the fleet, and is it possible that everyone escapes the sinking ships except her most trusted adviser.
This honestly baffled me.
Why not chase them down when you have the advantage? Why would you stop at capturing 1 person. WTF I will rather watch the starbucks cup being part of the show than this shit

What he said!!!....they all die!!

This new season is terrible in comparison to previous seasons. Feels very slap dash with tons of plot wholes

If you are still complaining about GoT not going the way you think, you should get out from under your rock and realize Ramsey's words had much more meaning than you think

"If you think this has a happy ending, you weren't paying attention."

I must agree though, the season again like 7 feels rushed, lots of holes they could have plugged. Shooting for months, I'm guessing you could muster more footage to at least cover a few more things, like give Bran more dialog(I mean he is the all seeing eye now, fucksakes tell us more than "I live mostly in the past now"), let some of the characters just have more to say to justify some of the things they do.

Honestly, if that Ep4 was the last we saw of Tormund and Samwell, then they just proved to us that they really didn't care about some of the most important aspects of closing story lines.

I still find it entertaining but I am left with a slightly nagging feeling that the current story arc is paying more service to studio execs than it is to the fans and characters. The whole "movie a week" / "weekly plot twist" thing is most likely what gives me that idea as there is a lot of story left on the cutting room floor so they can maximize the shock-value. Chasing popularity rather than closing out the story could backfire, no matter how popular the series.

Lets hope with the near 3 hours they have left we can get some closure on the story.

"Lol" Prediction: Dani dies, Jon becomes the night king, Bran becomes the new commander on the wall and the Dwarf inherits the throne. No one is happy.

I should realize a made up conversation not yet featured in the books carries more gravitas than it originally seemed? No.

I was never expecting an ending with sunshine and rainbows (Westeros is honestly fucked with Winter upon them (which presumably doesn't end 5 seconds later with the the defeat of the Others) and the devastation caused to all farmable land, the last few harvests where the final one was basically completely lost) but I was expecting something resembling intelligent thought from the main characters and some actual conclusions.

Denying us of his cousins reactions to Jon's news was just pure meanness. Or rather they had no faith in their actors pulling it off/didn't know how to write it, so they instead decided to "veil it in mystery".

Haha, so many theories out there.

Here's mine. Arya takes The Mountain's face to kill Cersei, but The House kills her first thinking it's his brother.

^^There's your massive plot twist still to come.

15 mins and I have not been abused via PM by the Legions of Outrage. Maybe they are all still asleep.

Me? I don't care. I'm just watching so I don't have to wonder how it ends after all the eps I've watched. But I simply don't care anymore, there is no desired or expected outcome.

And as I said realistically they are all fucked anyways.

Lol. Just the grouping of "fans" in general, they appear to be unusually defensive and take umbrage at the very thought that someone has an opinion they don't agree with. No-one took the bait :(

Right now I've settled with how things are going. Not too concerned with many of the story arcs, just curious if the ending will be worth everything that went down.

Also, probably the thing I'm most looking forward to is the rumored flashback to the battle of the trident. I imagine the flashback would answer quite a few questions and perhaps be part of the massive plot twist we are to expect.

Well....that was an episode.....

Anyone notice how Jon almost always kills people with a lazy bottom side slash ?

Dany in full pms mode, that episode was brought to you by...

Honestly it's like the directors tried to carry on the GRRM way of throwing the audience under the buss and getting them to say wtf. Problem is that they failed and it's all just left a sour taste in my mouth. If I paid for it then I'd want my money back, there are so many pointless scenes/fights that simply don't matter. As seen on twitter, feels like bad fan fiction.

What a really shit episode.
What a shit season.
What shit writers.
What shit.
shit.
.

SHIT

You either die a hero... or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. GoT is now the villain...

While I don't agree with the delivery (Way too rushed), I think it's been a pretty decent season.
The long night/dark episode was a bunch of bullshit but other than that I've enjoyed it.
Season should have been longer...another 7 episodes, just to slow it down a little bit (The fast travel...Can FUCK right off).

I get why people are mad/pissed about how things are going but this was always going to be the way it was going to end.
I'm not going into detail, but I'm 100% sure that GoT doesn't have a normal happy ending, instead it has multiple endings for different characters.

This episode could have redeemed itself if

Somehow Drogon bit it too and Denaerys ended up falling into the rubble.
Just one final Balista somewhere in the top of one of the towers of the Red Keep or maybe Tyrion finds a still functioning one on a wall somewhere and gets one final shot off ending Drogon.

Drogon has no more reason for existing. He went straight from champion you root for to the top of my wanna-see-dead list in this episode, blitzed right past Cersei.

By the way I don't mean Denearys dead as well, I just would have liked to see her a bit scathed as well.
