So I have a Dell SE2717H which only has 1 HDMI port. I bought an HDMI switch so I can use consoles on it too. When I use my PC through the switch, FreeSync does not work - the AMD control panel says it's not supported.

Without the switch, FreeSync works fine. Another interesting thing is that Dell's desktop monitor control program also won't work through the switch. The switch does support HDMI 1.4 and HDCP, as do my cables. Any idea why this happens and if there is any way for me to retain FreeSync with a switch?

Makes sense to me. The GPU has to handshake with the switch first and will sniff out FreeSync support there. The switch then handshakes the monitor and will not pass through FreeSync support. The switch will need to be compliant as well.

Cheers :)
