Foxytech

To be fair, @Foxytech is apparently also a rando dragging their own name through the mud by their own actions... The situation linked to on MyBB is a total mess. A different kind of mess, but a mess, nonetheless.
Ja fair enough. Looks like their service leaves something to be desired, too, based on what you and others here and on MyBB are saying. Maybe the spoof page was created by an irate customer fed up of waiting for a delivery.

It's pretty easy to see that there are two FB pages, and the one OP was chatting to was the wrong one.

Do you mean the talk of spanking and the memes on their twitter? I guess it's a bit odd but not exactly as egregious as telling your client he is a "bad kitty" for being impatient when an order is messed up.
Maybe we're all getting a bit old here. Remember when a CEO was someone who had to wear a suit and tie? Now a CEO gets to wear sandles and a t-shirt and run multibillion dollar companies. Perhaps we don't understand these youngens. Or maybe Foxytech understands their client base and we aren't it.

Most politically correct and diplomatic statement yet.
Their socials are a bit tacky - actually a whole lot tacky. Seems whoever is in that department is on tik.
Some absolutely bizarre comms from these foxy folks on that MyBB thread.
Oh well - if that's how to win over the customer I guess I'm out of touch.

At the time of posting, just glanced over it so don't know how things have progressed. Each to their own, but I try to mind my own business

Yeah. I guess. But it's just all so odd. Why deal with crazy and unpredictable which they clearly are as opposed to professional and reliable.

I think perhaps you're on to something. I just don't get it. I'll just stick to good ol' fashioned no-nonsense sanity.

Like that other weirdo that kept calling everyone Bru - and trying to slot that word in EVERYWHERE. Farking hell! Now it's "Foxy".
Worlds going to shite I tell yer!

Unfortunately my experience pretty much echoes this exactly.

I placed an order on the evening of 11 November, received confirmation on the 12th.

After reaching out via live chat/trying to reply on mails etc, I received a response on the 23rd essentially stating that there was a mix-up at the supplier but that a plan had been made (they purchased via Takealot in order to complete the order) and courier would deliver by the morning of 24th. It was also mentioned that they had purchased it for less than I had paid them, so they wanted to refund the difference. They didn't though...

For transparency sake, I did receive a response between the 12th and the 23rd via their live chat - but it was also just a 'ahhhh orders fscked up but we're sorting it out'.

I thought that this was pretty decent customer service. I thought...

On the 26th, after I still have not received my order, I make contact again. At this point the accounts person is manning the live chat and forwards me correspondence between Foxytech and TCG, as there had apparently been issues with the collection ofthe item. I can see by the mail thread that attempts were made to resolve the issue with collection/delivery.

On 29 November TCG pitches with my order. Well, half of my order. I informed Foxytech that my order was for 2x units but I only received 1x. The difference in price makes sense now.

1 Dec I follow up by Email - no response.

2 Dec I had had enough so sent another mail informing that I have no problem paying for 1x UPS and the shipping, but require a refund for the undelivered unit. I included a supplier return document for 1x UPS, a copy of the original invoice received from Foxytech and our banking details. A reply was received from the MD stating that the lack of comms was due to them relocating to new offices. The reply also included a request to their accounts person to process a refund the following morning...

Guess who's still waiting for feedback as well as a refund...

Actually really shitty, there's plenty of room for any and all online tech retailers. But because there are so many, the margin of error is actually really low. If a company or its staff are going to have terrible communication and not stick to commitments, it reflects badly on the company. The people there seem great but the customer experience (especially as a first time customer of theirs), yikes.

In the interest of full disclosure, Foxytech did get in touch with me and processed the refund for the undelivered item as well as the shipping cost.

While there has been fair resolution, I do still feel extremely jaded by the whole situation though and am most likely not to purchase from them again in the future or recommend to friends/family. Maybe a time will come where they offer an item at an unbeatable price or which I am unable to find elsewhere.

Well if you manage to run multi billion dollar companies, does your attire matter? The share holders probably don't care as long as they get their due returns and share prices.

Oh man, thats horrible. Really sucks to have Imposters pretending to be your business. Are all your Social Media accounts verified? If so maybe you can contact support to get those others de-listed.

Also, if I did request cat meme's would you send me some?
The other is an older account. The "fake" page has existed since about a year before the "real" one.

and if you believe that story
Nothing to believe or not believe, it's clearly the wrong page. Different logo, different page name, etc.

Maybe the spoof page was created by an irate customer fed up of waiting for a delivery.

The URL,

Definitely not a disgruntled customer. Just an older page than the local company.

Getting these vibes now.

I was a bit confused though. I though the fire cat memes were from foxytechza and that foxytechofficial is the legit handle.
I believe you can change your handle on Facebook though. So some possibility that an ex employee, disgruntled customer or just a troll used an old account to mess with em.

Facebook keeps track of page name changes, and there have been none.

It's on the bar on the left of a page, under Page Transparency. It has had no name changes or merges, and was created as FoxyTech in 2018.

FoxyTech, no page name change history:

Thanks for the info, I don't have a Facebook account to check that (needa login to view it).

Very sus now.

Struggling to get any updates on my order that was paid for two weeks ago that was and is "in stock".

Seem to respond quickly when payment is involved but 0 feedback when asking on updates or waybill details.

Does anyone here know of a way to reach out staff? @Foxytech
