Fortnite V-Bucks - Can it be gifted or transferred?

Hi All, I'm a newby dad to the whole Fortnite/V-Bucks scene. My son has a Fortnite account which is supervised by myself. He has been asking me to load some V-Bucks for him and I purchased 5,000 V-Bucks via the PSN store (under my PSN account) not realizing that this product is not a voucher and is not redeemable under his Fortnite account. I have emailed PS customer support but I'm not convinced they will help or refund. What are my options? Can I create a Fortnite account and then gift my son the V-Bucks?

Did a quick Google and doesn't look like V-Bucks can be transferred out of an Epic account.

you can add him as a friend, and buy him skins/emotes as gifts. I think the battle pass has to be gifted as a new purchase though.

Hi, I'm a newbie dad to Fortnite as well and to my knowledge you can't donate or transfer the V-Bucks to him. You can however open an account buy what he requires and gift that to him. I believe there is an option to buy as a gift in game. Hope it helps, or maybe someone else with more insight will help.

Ja I set up everything separately for my son so I don't accidentally buy on the wrong accounts. Fortunately Fortnite has fallen out of favour and Doom Eternal is now his obsession! That said Doom shows the problem because he went through the process to get free content but couldn't claim it because he bought the main collection via Steam and the Bethesda page doesn't seem to count Steam purchases for some reason.

Ok thanks for all the replies. I'll create an account iD on Fortnite for myself and gift him the battlepass and skins he wants. In future, how do I credit/buy V-Bucks for his account directly?

you'll have to pay again for this, it cannot be gifted using vbucks.

I'm not sure how to buy it directly on his account using PSN unfortunately.

So I finally got it right by gifting him the items he wanted but it was one of the most painful experiences ever. Complicated as ***k.
