Firestrike Results Thread

Gpu overclocked? I'm sure you could get more out of that 980ti! 8700k tho, excellent score!

Yeah, I have an OC on the GPU - would feel bad if I didn't do it with the waterforce card. :glee:

Still to OC the 8700k! Maybe when I move to water again. Right now been trying to build the PC for aesthetics:

(Had to remove tempered glass for picture, semi impossible to take a good pic with it on).

Any recommendation what water cooling to try on the 8700k?

Depends on what your budget can allow and what you wanting to do. Either something like a Corsair H100i GTX or you could go full custom loop. The nzxt coolers look nice as well.

I'm sure your card can go a bit more. I score 21366 on my daily overclock which is 1508mhz on core and 2008mhz mem (8032mhz effectively).

Like I mentioned, I'm super impressed with that 8700k.....

My latest result, still running old school i7 4790 (not even the K edition meh).

Firestrike standard: 15137

I think that gpu can do a little better on a K edition lol.

one of my old scores, makes the Ti look balsey but the 1070 Ti does have potential. Just overclock it a little as well, Pascal should be pushed a teensy bit more especially on memory. You should be able to get well over 22k graphics score on that card.

Yeah next in line is cpu, ram and newer series mobo etc. First need to save up lol.
And just got the card so been focusing on games more :p

Ok im done, taking up too much time and too much money

GPUs: 4 x Titan X

more than 2 years no challengers ???

Is that your best cpu score? Is the ipc on a 8700k worse than a 6800k? Can't see why you only get 22k and I get almost 20k on 4.4ghz? Would you post your Time Spy score sometime I just want to see that physics score.

That is my best CPU score thus far, IPC performance is about the same i'd say, no real improvements clock for clock vs the Skylake/Kabylake. Weird thing is i got almost the same CPU score on 5GHz (22 257: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/15005986), still need to OC the memory though. Will post Time Spy :eagerness:

Gamers Nexus raised some good points in the video. Throw money at the problem and it goes away.
No more odd ways of getting more from a system or finding motherboards that no one has heard of that break records (Biostar P45 for an example).

hi guys I was hoping some of you could tell me if my scores are accurate?

specs
z370f asus
i5 8600k @ 5.1ghz @ 1.25v
2x8gb ddr4 corsair running 3466mhz @ 1.35v
evga 1080ti sc stock

Score's

GPU 29083
CPU 15776
Combined 12026

I feel that the cpu score is to low? because i've read reports of 8700k's scoring stock speeds like 18000? is it because of the extra threads?

anyway just wondering is my system performing optimal or might there be some changes I need to make?

Thanks in advance!

Is the physics score the reference for the CPU score? My results show GPU, physics, and combined only.

Hey Guys,

I updated the rankings, everything has been added till #567.

Some attachments were no longer able to open, so if you don't see your score on there please re-post it with a link. I'll try and keep this updated weekly (depending on the amount of new posts).

Seeing as we have Vantage, 3D Mark 11 and firestrike thread. Going to try and open a Timespy one. Mixing it inbetween Firestrike is a pain to keep track of.

Thought to add my results, note I'm running everything at stock, not planning to clock anything, only XMP enabled.

CPU: i7-8086k @4GHz
Mobo: Asus Z370-H Gaming
RAM: 64Gb Kingston Predator 3000MHz
GPUs: Sapphire RX580 8Gb Pulse Edition x 2 Xfire
Windows 10 x64 10.0.17134
AMD drivers ver 25.20.14003.1010

Firestrike Standard 21150
Firestrike Ultra 6124
