Great quali. Liked that very much. Lawson really needs to start doing something, but that RB is a dog man.

It's fast if you can drive it, which apparently nobody besides Max can. That's poor design.

But it makes you think how tricky the Redbull actually is to drive I mean even if you think of Perez he couldn’t extract the speed out of the car and it looks like Lawson can’t either but it’s only the second race so I’m sure he will have until the summer break to get up to pace because what’s to say Yuki won’t suffer the same issues so there’s a risk to just swooping drivers and not giving them time to settle in.

Also makes you think how good Max actually is because his final lap today was scruffy and he was fighting the hell out of that car.
 
The main thing I've taken from this is that the RB is a bit of a dog. Potentially fast, but in a very limited operating window. Max is the only one who has consistently been able to drive the thing. On the one hand that's testament to his skills, but on the other it's indicative of an issue with the car that makes it so undriveable. Albon, Gasly, Perez...these aren't bad drivers, they're guys who should be able to do a good job (even if not quite at the level of Max) and yet they all crashed out of the team.

It's something RB need to give some thought to because if Max leaves, they'll be qualifying P17 and P20 in a potential championship challenging car.
 
The RB19 was a really good car and Perez could drive it. Best car on track. RB have struggled to put together a decent package after that though.

I agree, if not for Max, RB would be in trouble.

Williams could be issued a heavy penalty in China after they failed to provide the FIA with camera images capturing its rear wing. The F1 stewards have issued a summons to Williams after the team failed to provide video footage of its rear wing following practice in China.

But what a statement win by Lewis ........ quite a gap in the end.

Edit : Can Max win the 2025 WDC without winning a single race this year ?

Max knows the car is not good. I wish RB will give him a car that is on the same pace and tyre deg as the front runners. But then again, if they do, he will probably start winning all the races again.

Edit : so no rain. But jis. Lando almost lost 2nd due to the break pedal issue.

Surprised Max made it back to 4th.

Will there ever be a driver that can drive the Red Bull? Maybe it's developed for Max's driving style, and makes it near impossible for anyone else to drive 🤷‍♂️

Could this world championship be won on consistency 👀

Development race also needs to start so there's no saying redbull couldn't dominate the second half of the year.

Ya, I am really disappointed in Lawson's total lack of pace and sad to say, "enthusiasm" for the Red Bull. Maybe he really does not like the car for some reason? Who knows. Hopefully he can get his act together in Japan.
On another note, well done to LeClerc for getting the most out of his Ferrari, despite the missing end-plate. That is some driving, I must admit.

Pierre and Charles' cars were found to be underweight, while Lewis' car was deemed to have excessive skid wear

So both Ferrari's ?

Ya, I'm just reading that, however, according to the commentators, Ferrari are allowed to replace the front wing with one of identical weight and design after the race has finished to comply with those exact rules, so what happened????
