@ Mods/Admin - if discussing eSports betting is not legal on this forum, please delete this thread.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if there are any other users out there that bets (or used to) on DotA2, CS:GO and other eSports games on sites such as DotA2Lounge, CSGOLounge, VPGame, DotA2BestYOLO, etc.

In 7 different instances over the last year, I've gone from 1 single Arcana (~$30) to $1000+, with my max recorded winnings at about $1800. My quickest time to $1000 from $35, was in 6 days (bear in mind, there were lots of games to bet on during this time frame)

I had a WhatsApp group with 3 other friends, which I donated several Arcanas and other items to, as I was winning big and I was trying to help them, yet they were still too scared to bet, even though I gave them the items for free.

I've been out of the betting game for a little over a month, after losing my last $1600 pot ($950 from a single game: LGD vs MVP.P) during the Frankfurt Major.

What I'd like to know is if anyone wants to join up with me when I start up again (most likely the 28th, as that's when my Arcana is tradeable/marketable).

We can use this thread to discuss the games of the day, whether they're guaranteed bets, or what our views are on certain games and players. I'm not all knowing in the CS:GO scene, but I do follow DotA2 quite a bit and can provide you with a lot of information on teams and players (if I'm not too busy at work).

If you're not too comfortable posting on the thread, then you're more than welcome to PM me and I'll provide you with as much information as I possibly can.

Just trying to get a good SA Betting Community together, where we share victories together and get the skins we've always wanted.

I'm also an incredibly generous donator when I'm up quite a bit. :)

Are you just betting items or actual dollhairs?

Sorry, I should have made that clear in the initial post - I bet items to win items.

However, if you have a platform where you bet actual dollhairs, then you can do so. :)

If you win enough (let's go with $500 worth of items), you can sell them on LootMarket (reputable site and I've used it successfully) for 80 - 90% of the value of the item, and then you transfer funds to Paypal. From Paypal, you can send money to FNB. I tested with a $32 and $28 (market value) item and I received $25 (R375) and $21 (R315) respectively. It might seem like nothing when you've got one or 2, but that's not the objective here - I'm trying to get us to make $1000+ each. :p

P.S. You must all donate an item to the value of $10+ to me in order to join the group -- hahaha, just kidding, though. :p

I wouldn't mind getting in on it, more into CS thought.

I made ~$700 in last years TI from about $30. Haven't been following the competitive scene so much lately, but I do want to get back into it again.

If we can get a guy that watches CS:GO religiously, that'd be great. I'm sure everyone is aware of the general teams: Fnatic, Na'Vi, NiP, LG, EnvyUS, G2, etc, but when betting on great teams with 90% value, it doesn't really make it worthwhile (unless you're able to bet $700+ per game).

This is why I say if we get someone who watches all CS:GO teams play, then they can give us tips.

The great thing about DotA2BestYOLO and VPGame is that you're able to bet either DotA2 or CS:GO items on: DotA2, CS:GO, Football (English, Spanish, German, Chinese, Australian, UEFA, etc), Basketball, etc. So you can bet your CS:GO items on anything you feel confident with (not just CS:GO).

Both sites are legit, the only issue I have with DotA2BestYOLO is that sometimes bots are offline (mostly with CS:GO), so if you want to retrieve items, it can take you like 20-30 attempts before being successful. VPGame is much less of a hassle.

This is kind of what a good streak looks like:

This is my 3rd biggest win on a single game:

So yeah, if you get me on a good day, then I can help you quite a great deal. :)

Are you saying that betting items on sites, is illegal? Or were you referring specifically to vitalbet?

Betting money is, not items. I have done more than enough research on this. :) Not Illegal what so ever!

vitalbet ..
and mayb with items its fine betting, but once funds (MONEY) gets involved and transfered into south it becomes illegal..AFAIK..

ok answer me this, u pay items with mooney?
u win x amount of items?
u go sell items for money?

I've done quite a bit of Csgo betting, could definitively get back into it. Just glad I never got back into it at the last major, with all those upsets inventories were emptied:eek:

As far as the sites op listed, No Casinos are associated as far as I'm aware, and hey you can be betting skins you acquired 100% free through in-game play to win other skins purely for in-game play. I highly doubt it would be considered illegal here.

that my point..and betting is legal, with south african registered one ,

Frequently Asked Questions

Is online betting legal?
Yes. Online betting is legal with a licensed South African bookmaker.
Can South Africans gamble overseas?
South Africans cannot gamble with international companies from within the Republic.

Hmmm, you might be right with that.

My initial objective was actually just for people to better skins. What they do thereafter, is their prerogative. :)

can be wrong,, but as far i understood it..
jsut saying and not dissing post...
just being carefull and mayb paranoid..
and OP sorry if i derailed it by a mile a bit

Yea that sounds good also into Football so i could bet on that.

I dont watch religiously, I watch when I can due to time of games etc..

Come on... There is no way you're getting in trouble for betting csgo skins. The government doesn't even know what esports are.

Back on topic , I've been watching a lot lately and followed the scene from day one basically. At the moment it's very unpredictable and a risky business if you're trying to build an inventory.

The best tip you'll ever get is don't bet on your favourite teams games and don't fool yourself into believing an underdog will win. I've lost a lot from those two stupid mistakes and rage betting hahaha.

Last time I bet on Csgo: Cloud9 pulled through on ALL my bets until the Semis where they have to play Fnatic which were on their huge winning streak and nobody could touch them, they were gods, so I use my brain and bet Fnatic... Cloud9 somehow manage to pull off a close game... Then it a rage bet bet on Cloud(=9 in the Finals against a much weaker than Fnatic at the time, Navi team to regain my losses from the previous game which included a cheap knife and a few other mid value skins because you know... if Cloud9 want to take my skins they may as well get them back for me if they beating the unbeatable.... They get utterly destroyed by Navi:rolleyes: Rip something like $140 due to a rage bet:rolleyes:

Hahahaha. Yeah, it's quite a bitch. :p

Also, a huge new patch just came out for DotA 2, so betting right now, would be quite crazy.

However, let me know if you guys want to start a WhatsApp/Skype group, so that we can all provide our opinions on certain games. :D

I also lost around $150 worth of CS skins. Mainly with the last CS tournament they had when I lost everything on the LG - Fnatic game. Won't be touching that shit again.
