Escape from Tarkov | Battlestate

Sorry gents, loadshedding. I'll be on at 10 if you guys want to jam

It is "unheard" of for you wanting to know how my morning is going...

I had to work in the pun in some way, its the only thing that came to mind to say LOL
Dude...what a shitshow. An absolute cluster. I don't know what they were thinking but the community is going bonkers :D

I got excited yesterday because the first snippet I saw was STP Tarkov being released by BSG themselves and was hyped because of the recent recoil changes in the new wipe, but just didn't get into it when wipe came around. I was quickly humbled and disappointed at what it actually is, gameplay & hit reg genuinely look worse than online Tarkov :ROFLMAO:

I saw that bro. And people queueing for 11 minutes to get into an offline raid. And then getting disconnected from offline. WTF!? :D

Imma grab SPT and give it a go.

The worst part of this all is they took an idea from a mod that they actively shut down and threatened legal action against, only to turn around, tune $100 price tag & turns out worse than the mod, which worked flawlessly, it was literally just an offline copy of the game with the PMC kills being a bit reworked, what the fuck xD

And their first response is to shit on everything that says it isn't a good decision/choice, let alone the experience that it currently is xD Even the offline raid feature works better than that and that is literally what the SPT side of things seem to be, the offline raid function with no changes except for the PMC rework again xD I'm genuinely lost to at which point they thought any of this would work xD

Fuck knows bro, I think they were thinking of dollars and nothing else.

It;s $100 IF YOU UPGRADE FROM EOD!! It's $250 otherwise. $250? For a fucking game? What in the actual fuck :D

My opinion:
  • Greyzone Warfare is intended to be a very different experience so I believe that it will attract a different audience.
  • I don't have any significant quarrels with Edge of Darkness versus Uheard Edition. Yes, there are two to three controversial additions to this package, but they may still become available as individual purchases later on or even if the package has changed altogether.
  • $250 for a game version. Yes, this is a large sum, but it is not the only version. An item that was previously raised is that we, in some cases are now eight years on and they're still developing, paying for servers etc.
  • The cost of video games will likely soon go up again. Perhaps a unique example is Grand Theft Auto VI who's developers have openly said that it's going to cost more.
  • Summary: For me it is hopelessly too soon to take sides, Battlestate Games are not stupid and there is likely method to the madness.

Nah, you're being too generous.

The terms of the EOD package clearly state you get access to ALL FUTURE DLC. It was one of the major selling points for EOD. This is DLC, it should be free for EOD users and isn't.

The P2W aspect is also BS. EOD was P2W in a sense, because of the increased rep and stash size out the gate, and the Gamma container.

But now with this BatSignal, scavs won't attack you from 60m away? You can call in the Avengers to help you in a firefight? Starting at level 3 on some skills? Nah man, that's some BS.

I see they've just posted an update about changes to EOD, but it's also BS because it's only for 6 months.

The "method" could very plausibly be "we know people will pay pretty much whatever we ask for this, so we may as well milk our customers as much as we think we can get away with."
