I have a Epson L365 Inktank Printer that has been going well for the last 7 years and a bit but the last few months it was a bit iffy turning on (not always turning on).

After figuring out how to take the covers off and methodically starting to test it (with limited electronics knowledge) I found that the power supply measures at 42V (as stated on it's label) but the moment I connect it to the tiny mainboard with everything else disconnected the voltage drops very low (maybe a couple of Volts), which leads me to think there is a short on the mainboard, but it kind of looks in perfect condition (cant see any broken/popped components or shorts or burns).

Anyone know where and if I can find a replacement mainboard for this printer or if it's even worthwhile trying to repair?

Inspect the power brick for same....

Could be that it has voltage but it has a capacitor somewhere not doing it's job anymore.
The Power Supply or brick should be delivering about 300mA at 42V, so think I will try and build a circuit of sorts to see if I can draw some power from it consistently to test rather than cutting it open, but good idea to give the power supply a thorough test rather than assuming it's OK.

Looks like Partserve is stocking the parts, just wondering now if it's worthwhile replacing the parts or buying a new printer (main board around R890 and power supply about R380).
