Hi there.
I'm looking for a level 1 support or technician role anywhere within the Western Cape. This could even be an internship or even job shadowing, as my goal is to build up referenceable experience and gain a foothold within the industry. I do not have any formal qualifications, however I have completed both Comptia A+ & Comptia N+ courses through CTU Training Solutions, and I am in the process of writing the certification exams.
After building my first computer at the age of seven years old, I have been actively learning about technology and how to troubleshoot problems for many years. I have taught myself how to build and repair computers, and have also helped friends and family members with their own technical issues. I have a strong understanding of various operating systems and software, and am confident in my ability to quickly learn new technologies. I am highly motivated and eager to learn, and I believe that given the opportunity, I can excel in the required role. I am confident that my strong analytical and communication skills, as well as my ability to think on my feet and find creative solutions, would make me an asset to any organization. I am eager to work hard and prove my worth.
I lack any formal qualifications, however I have experience performing basic computer technician duties such as installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues. I have also assisted in the maintenance and organization of IT equipment and inventory. In addition, I have strong customer service skills and am able to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals in a clear and concise manner. I have experience working with various operating systems including Windows and MacOS, as well as experience with basic networking and troubleshooting. I have also worked with a variety of productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite. I have recently completed and passed an Office 365 test, as well as a live VM test, with an outsourcing company. The tests were both focused on solving a few mock tickets as an Office 365 administrator, adherence to a ticket writing policy, and client interaction.
I have 6 years of experience, working in the banking industry, with a focus on sales and client interaction, before being promoted and being exposed to the administrative side of things. This has solidified my work ethic, and taught me the valuable soft skills required within the corporate space. I can elaborate on my prior experiences if necessary.
I am looking for an opportunity, regardless of how big or small this may be, and ultimately for the purpose of my goal, I am even willing to work without receiving a salary, and would also not mind working according to a different time zone.
Thank you.
