Ok, so I am looking for a new gaming laptop for my wife, should be entry level, but still decent and not too expensive.
I have already checked out a few on Evetech, but I am really not sure what to get...
Would really appreciate any tips and suggestions.

Item Wanted: Decent entry level gaming laptop
Packaging Essential: New
Desired Age: New
Location: Bloemfontein
Willing to accept a shipped item: Yes
Ballpark/Budget Amount: 16000 - 17000

How is the GTX 1650 For gaming?
Should also have at least 8Gb ram, 256Gb SSD and space for a 2.5" drive as well.
At least i5 9th gen or similar

I was thinking about getting the Asus TUF Gaming 15-FX505GT.
What are your thoughts about this laptop?
Any feedback would be very much appreciated!

Get a Wootbook.

Spec it out with the storage and RAM you want, BOOM a great laptop in your budget. You can even spec 32GB RAM within your budget. You won't be disappointed with the Ryzen 5 4600H either...

For that money go for

Do you recommend these laptops? Never heard of them but looking to purchase a new powerful laptop for video editing. Colour accuracy is an important factor though.

Thanks for everyone's opinion and feedback!

Ok, so our budget is maxed out at R20500, it is a lot of money so want to be 100% sure before I buy something...

I did some snooping around and I am really interested in the Gigabyte Aorus 5 with GTX1650 and i7 9750H and the other option is the WootBook II 2060 Ryzen 7 4800H, but I don't know this rebranded (TongFang) laptops at all...

Are the WootBooks any good?
How is the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H compared to the Intel i7 9750H?
Suck that the battery is only a 3 cell 46Wh...

One more thing that is unclear, on the WootWare website, there are options for HDD and RAM and then optional OS and Warranty extensions, now my question is, do you have to choose RAM and HDD, can't I buy cheaper RAM separately and use the current HDD that I have in the Laptop I have now?

Any feedback on the WootBooks would be really appreciated!

While I agree with the general sentiment of the wootbook it is an untested price of hardware and I've noticed a few already available second hand even though they were just released.
The new asus tuf ryzen machines may be an decent option.
But if your not in a rush can have answer by tomorrow about an awesome i7 7th MSI 1060 machine.
Want to check specs and details before I say anything.

Thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate it!
Ended up spending a bit more than planned, haha, got the WootBook Ultra II 2060.
Really impressed with the laptop, it is a beast for the price I payed for it!
