Engineering Vacation work OR Student Holiday Job

Hello fellow Carbies, i am currently in my third year of BSc Industrials Engineering at Wits and i have to do vacation work as part of my degree. The work can be anything on hands and is technically counted as mechanical engineering vac work. I am not fussy on the type of work as long as its something i can see myself enjoying however i do enjoy cars and if possible would like to work at a car fitment Centre/workshop/modshop somewhere along those lines. However the work does not have to be specific some of my friend's have literally worked with welders, aero plane mechanics people who forge metals etc. So if anyone knows of any company or small business that would not mind giving me vacation work please let me know. I am available for a while besides the time i have to write a supplementary exam probably in January.

On a different topic I am on vacation from now until March ( except my supplementary paper time ) and i can just see i am going to be spending most of my holiday at home. On that note I am looking for any student jobs to make some little extra cash. Yes I have applied online and visited my local malls but to no avail. I am based in Horison park in roodepoort however i do not mind travelling and have a car and a valid drivers license. Maybe somebody on this forum knows of anything kindly let me know

Try and get in to a decent engineering shop for vac work instead of a car fitment center. Looks much better on a cv when you finish your degree. Let me check if we still have space for vacwork students. If so I will pop you a PM.
