Which one did you get?
Looks like my steelseries with white keys for qwerasdf. I'm tempted to buy one but don't know about the greens and whites. I know i dont want Reds. I prefer blacks but they don't have and the browns are quite a bit more.I really do love it, played BFV all night last night, never once worried about where keys were and could completely type blind already, easy switch for me.
Also have I mentioned how beautifull-fugly it is (dont mind the mess, temp desk.)

Ducky One 2 HorizonWhich one did you get?

I actually intend to fit the Corsair double shot keycaps to compare. Good thing I bought an electric blower, will need it to get rid of the dust on the K95 when I get round to that little test.Really? There's a couple that use a metal mounting plate, don't see how that's so different. Try replacing some K95 keys with Ducky keys sometime and vice versa and lemme know whether the one gets better or the other gets worse.

Haha how do you find the greens compared to the Reds you had? I know greens require stronger force than blacks.Wonder how google will view this thread, with the mention of 4 ethnic groups hahaha
I have large hands and fingers with too much powerrrrrrr so even though I notice that I am pressing a bit harder over a 2 yr old mx-red switch it does feel more satisfying. Gives the old vienna's a lekker workout.Haha how do you find the greens compared to the Reds you had? I know greens require stronger force than blacks.

Lol. You’re reading way to deep into this.Just noticed your new sig. That's quite the pompous statement to make given all the brands we don't get locally like DAS, iKBC, Leopold etc.
The only keyboard that I know of that stands alone at this point in time is the Huntsman Elite with it's pressure sensitive optical switches. Everyone else has direct competition, though whether we can get the competition in SA is another story.
What brands use this switch?Anyone tried Topre switches? I've been using using them for a year or two and no other cherry switch I've typed on compares in terms of smoothness.
And what about layouts? My current keyboard is a 66 key and I love how much space it leaves for my mouse.

Just do it [emoji14]I'm on the market for a new kb so am doing a lot of research. So far I really like the Hyperx Alloy elite, and now and then Evetech have it on sale for 1500 which seems a steal. The other one is the Roccat Vulcan 120 Aimo. Ridiculous name but jeepers it's a looker. These Ducky keyboards are the only others that I like. Ugh the tough choices.

Can’t really go wrong with any of those. Ducky is rock solid. Vulcan is one sexy ass keyboard. HyperX is great value for money (as the brand has become known for - looks like they’ve taken a few notes from the K95 design book as well). I think your next keyboard should be a Huntsman Elite, not a Vulcan 120.
I can’t accept R3800 for a keyboard when the Ducky gives me everything I want. I don’t mind dropping up to R3k tops but not a cent more.
I’m gonna go for the Vulcan in all likelihood. So to anyone reading this, expect a mint (and I mean mint as in like new) K95 Platinum to come up for sale very soon.
Yeah pressure sensitive switches look nice, but right now they are not on my must have list (definitely on my nice to have list though). Also I'm not the world's biggest fan of Razer. I only buy Razer products if nothing else can fulfill my need.Yeah but the Huntsman Elite has pressure sensitive optical switches. No other current keyboard has those (at least available locally although it could be at all because as far as I know the other opticals use off/on switches same as all other keyboards). That makes it a bit special even if it's from Razer.

With my K95 still gathering dust I’m pretty tempted to sell it and buy a Roccat Vulcan 120. Any thoughts?
Note 1: I love my Ducky. But I also love having 2 keyboards and the same with mouses (or is it mice?)
Note 2: I changed my name from Madala_ZA. But I’m still the same CUD junkie.
