What is the purpose?

A dual power supply can really just be a 2nd PSU that is shorted and will provide power.

Now if you're looking for 2 x PSU's that's redundant and in the event one fails the motherboard stays on (24pin etc).

If it's the 2nd, I have 2 x PSU and a power backplane we can salvage from an oldish server.
