Very random question - how long is the usb c cable?

Looking for a dock with the 1m cable.

I have a WD15 and the cable is around 1m, didn't exactly measure it.

The TB16 I have on the other hand has a very short (30cm) cable, hope that helps.

It does yes, thank you

The takealot link he added also states 1m, but I've seen some versions have a long one and some short without any change in model numbers - not sure if people are replacing the cables

Hi there. Am I correct in saying that this Doc will work on any Laptop with a USB-C port? I have one on my Dell (Brilliant), looking for one for an ASUS laptop.

You are partially correct - certain features, like the USB ports will work with any laptop that has a USB C port.
Charging via USB C will only work on devices that support that feature.
And to make use of the display ports, your laptop will have to support DP via USB C.

However, this is all theoretical. In real life, it doesn't play well with non Dell products

Thanks for the detailed response. I have once used in on a new Gen HP Ultrabook and it worked well. Will test Asus with mine and confirm - buy from you if it works. Thanks a mil.

Please let me know.
However, the dock is sold.
I will let you know if I get another one
