The servers where part of a discontinued ESX 3.5 VM cluster. The cluster was only ever used for one customer and hardly utilised. The cluster got discontinued in 2013 and sins then the server have been siting idea.

Figured some of you maybe interested in them. If not they will be recycled for parts and then scraped. (need to clean out storage space)

If any one is interested mp me. I can send you the ID tags if you want to look up the server on dell’s site. All tag will get reregistered with dell to reflect new owners.

120 Of these for one customer, that's insane :)

If you willing to split I would be interested in some RAM , 16GB presume registered ECC ? Would it work in other servers ?

I will get you the make and model of the ram. and yes as far as i know its standers ECC ram so will work in most servers. keep in mind this is DDR 2 1 Gig dims.
I need to clear it with the bean counter to see if they are willing to sell components.

I have about 4000 smaller servers that i still need to get rid off. That will happen later in the year
You do not want to know what we payed for them back in 2008
As a side note i have about 80 dell MD 1000 storage units i will be listing later in the week. They take 15 disk each. Makes for a grate home storage system if you don't mind the noise
