Basically my sister spilt tea on the Mac and apples warranty doesn’t support water damage. My dad has taken it to a few places but everyone wants like 22k for the parts in order to fix it. We don’t have 22k but it was used for 5 months before broken. Now it just sits in the cupboard collecting dust. It’s age of use is 5 months but it’s probably now like a year old. Apple said the warranty is finished so I’m going by that. If you fix it, it is like having almost a brand new Mac but if anyone knows places to fix these other then the apple store that wont charge an arm and a leg that will be helpful too.

And you can’t claim it through your insurance?
I know it’s seems like an obvious question, but once I forgot I had travel insurance and paid a hefty price for changing flight tickets.

We did claim from insurance.. they just never took the Mac.
