I have searched a bit for places where I can get a Large high quality custom mouse pad printed.
All places I have found have one or more of these flaws:
  1. Mouse pads are unbraided
  2. Site looks dodgy with little to no reviews
  3. It is via Amazon, banggood etc, and other overseas shipping sources.
  4. Mouse pad sizes are too small, and limited
  5. Mouse pad image quality looks poor.
Does anyone have experience with any site/provider that has made them a high quality custom image mouse pad with a custom size? Not necessarily custom size, but has 2XL or 3XL available.
Or more preferably, is it possible to commission someone to print onto the surface of a mouse pad I can buy separately? Is this even a good idea? Would the image last?

Need some DIY expertise please.

Does Carbonite offer custom ones? Like send you own picture?
Not sure, but I know they have their own custom mouse pads made that they sell, so maybe the admins/mods can point you in the right direction for custom ones made if they can't help directly.

Wont be worth it to custom make in small numbers, I'm willing to bet they'd want a MOQ to do a custom one.

Can only hope for the best. Better to let the account see this thread or do you suggest I send a direct message?

The main issue I see here is the braiding.
Are you looking for braided edges? Or a stitched cloth surface?
Braided edges are fine but stitched cloth mousepads are gonna be harder to come by.
And most printing places are gonna offer that weird neoprene feeling top that is so grippy to your wrists it feels like pure rubber.
It ultimately might be easier to find a place with a mousepad surface you like that has blanks, finding the exact material name and asking print places if they are able to print to that surface.
Printing to stitch I imagine is extremely difficult due to tha valleys and peaks, and since you don't want the surface to be changed it would have to be some sort of stain/dye which could easily bleed and ruin the print.

Personally the only print on a nice woven surface I have seen has been the razer goliathus, but then again I prefer almost completely blank surfaces since its easier to see dirt.

Either way, I wish you good luck, and hope some of what was typed helped you out.

I appreciate the advice, and you hit the nail on the head with all your points. I've been doing some research into material printing and the methods and techniques used. There is a method called sublimation which embeds the image into the fabric without any bumps, residue, layer, etc. And to answer your first point, braiding is must for me for a high quality mouse pad. No braided edges causes the surface to peel off. Speaking from past experience

I found a custom print place near me which I reached out to, just waiting on a response, so hopefully it is doable. I don't really mind much about the cost, if it isn't too crazy.

Thought in the mean time I could also reach out to fellow carbies who hopefully have wanted the same thing and found an answer.
My end goal is to have a mouse pad the size of the Glorious 3XL on Evetech, but with my own custom design

It's crazy, I feel a weird sense of deja vu, I remember a known za gaming store selling custom ones but now I wonder if I'm miss remembering.

You can mail cameron.vanderwalt14@gmail.com
They do up to 800mm x 400mm

The quality is really damn great but they don't print on the edge so the stitching is black.
The only other option if you want a 1.2m long deskmat is deskmat.io for a single deskmat.

If you get a few people together you might find some places on AliExpress but keep in mind the minimum order quantity is high most of the time. You can get around it by chatting to them and requesting a sample that you'd pay for.

Quality is hit or miss there.
