Please note that these systems had one of the worse after sales spares parts. The board damaged on the sub?

Hi.


I had the same set of Speakers and I also had a dead subwoofer issue a few years back.

I took it to this electronics repair service station in M5 highway park in CT and they fixed it for like R450.00

Been working ever since.

Is your issue the subwoofer not working, or the entire unit ?

Unfortunately, it seems to have relocated to somewhere else.

I am unsure as I havent attempted to open the sub box.

Its only the sub that went dead @Sabreme - The satelites work 100% and control unit.

It's always the crap power supply that blows. Can't find the IC's and or any other components that blow to repair the original PSU

The only method to fix these is to use a computer PSU(300-400w). I have fixed mine and they are working better than ever (might have something to do with me putting 35v into the amplifiers instead of the normal 27v.

I want to buy all the broken SP2500's and fix them, as I don't think a repair service on this is viable, it would cost too much for the labour and components needed. Also I live by the coast so the cost of sending the sub box will be around R150 per trip.

But let's see how much attention this gets. then we can decide what a decent price is for fixing these speakers.
