Connecting modified sine wave to pure sine wave trolley question

Would it be wise to connect a modified inverter trolley(lead acid) to a pure sinewave trolley(lithium)? Like for instance use the pure sinewave(lithium) to charge the modified sinewave batteries(lead acid)? when there is loadshedding? or should I get rid of my modified trolley and just use the pure sine wave lithium trolley instead?
 
As long as the PSW is feeding the MSW, it should work. The other way round may not!

I recently tried to connect 2 UPS devices in series, both MSW.

The idea was to keep a gate motor going through load shedding.

One small UPS did not quite last 2 hours, so I tried connecting a second in series.

The UPS did not like this at all!

Not sure why, something to do with the way it is designed.
 
Going to be blunt. Seems a terrible idea that should work. Just because the lead acids will charge doesn't mean you should do it though 😁

My vote is on the second option. Get rid of the shittier inverter and battery.

Also, I need to ask. Why?

Why. Why. Why.

You do realize that inverters are not 100% efficient right? Having them in series just makes the losses worse.

Maybe explain the background or reasoning why you would want to do this.

Technically, it should work though
