With my new PC ordered I’m selling my old faithful gaming rig.
Throwing in some Xbox 360 Controllers + Wireless Receiver for windows for free in the bundle.
Total Price: R8850
Bundle Price: R8000.
Splitting: Not at this time
I feel like this is a VERY reasonable price for what this machine can do - play modern games at 1080 with good settings and smooth frames.
I must say the machine has run very stable over the years, never had hardware issues at all. It runs games great at 1080p, upgrading to get to UWQHD otherwise I’d stick with it.
I'll leave the SATA data + power cables routed for my extra SSD so you can slot in another SSD/HDD without any effort.
I priced it lower because I don't have many iTraders, but I do have vouches here (ignore the lower two jokers).
Rough ETA on availability: 25-30 August
Age: Varies but old, GPU is from June 2018
Payment Method Accepted: EFT
Location: Durban
Warranty: N/A
Reason: Upgrading
Packaging: Have all the original packaging for the MSI GTX 1080, nothing else
Shipping: GPU could travel in its box, tower could be bubble wrapped I don't have a box for it though, cost and risk on you
Collection: Please
Extra Condition Details
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X Twin Frozr VI OVERCLOCKED Edition 8GB
Excellent condition
MOBO: Asus Maximus VI GENE + Wifi Card and Antenna (they’re magnetic so easy to position on case)
1 blemish – I removed PCI-E x16 slot clip back in the day, screwing in securely to case has given zero issues and makes it easier to negotiate swapping them out in an mATX build. Some reviewers do this so I didn’t stress about it.
Otherwise no issues, system is stable and everything works well including XMP.
Case: CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 350D
Condition: The case itself is very solidly built and in decent condition, a few scratch/scuff marks but it’s front panel (covering front intake dust filter) has been lost during a move. The cover for one of the disc drive slots was disposed of as it’s got a DVD-RW drive in it - which I’ll include for free.
If you have a case you'd prefer to use and you live in Durban I can help you transplant, I'm busy though so we'd need to figure out a time.
Fans: CORSAIR AF120 Red (No-RGB) QUIET x 5
Condition: 4 work perfectly, 1 was unplugged as the antivibration pads broke off , it still works but the sound is annoying. The machine’s cooling is perfectly fine without it. You could reposition the working fans as you like, I didn’t remove it as the internals looked a bit strange with a fan missing. If you have a very poorly ventilated room and are worried about temps you could go old school and pop the side panel off if you actually have issues (or replace the fan).
Controllers + Wireless Receiver
The rubber on the joysticks has worn down but they work, you might want to get some rubber grips for cheap (like this)
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB
Samsung Magician rates it as “Good” which is the best it provides, TBW is 149TB. It’s basically free because of high TBW.
Haven't gotten around to cleaning it up just yet, too busy enjoying my new rig.
FYI
