Sup guy's, want to find out from the prose how easy it would be to mod a closed loop cooler like a 100/i to cool a gfx card with a full cover block? I dont particularly want to start a whole wc pc, just the card.

There is actually a whole thread about it on Overclockers where you do it with just the cooler itself and some cables ties and what not I've seen people using, ill see if I can find it tonight, do not have access to the site at work...

Alternatively you can go with a bracket, depends on your cards, you can use the NZXT Kraken G10 with a closed loop depending on the card - I considered this option but just to find that my Gigabyte R9 280x Rev 2 cards doesn't support it.

quite easy, but depends on what card you have and what cooler you have.

I have cooled GPU's with H50's without the need to mod.

Came across the XS-PC Razor full cover block. That's why I'm asking. The Ek blocks are very pricey. Is it just a case of pulling the tubes off the cpu block and attaching to the gpu block? Obviously a little more complicated than that but in theory.

Oh okay what you want to do wont work though... The H100i block contains the pump as well to my understanding and videos I have watched...

Ah right. Makes sense. Didn't think of that. Back to the drawing board then.

Have a look at the NZXT Kraken G10, maybe this will solve you problem? Although it is just a bracket really nifty though, so no need for the pump and reservoir in your rig etc...

I think Evetech got them for R800-R900 but if you shop around maybe import or so you can surely get it cheaper or maybe try the alternatives in the above links.

The new Antec closed loop coolers have the pumps mounted on the fans if im not mistaken, so that could be an alternative to the H100.

Saw those now on the Antec website.. So Crack that could maybe be a solution for you...

Those fittings getting it off I personally think would become a problem, and obviously having the correct amount of fluid inside after the mod gets complete...

Seems possible though

Im sure you could always incorporate a reservoir into the loop to top up the coolant if need be.

Another interesting find...
