Cisco Nexus 5548UP - Factory reset

I've always used the console method, not sure if it would work with the nexus range but you can try.

Console into the device and hit clt+C when you see the bootloader starting, this should take you into the rom console, type in "confreg" and choose "yes" and then type in "reset"

The device should reboot and bypass the startup configs and allow you login into privileged EXEC mode to reset the password/secret.

Simple question, if they cannot provide an admin password, can you not take it back to them to reset for you?

I have asked this but the units been decommisioned while ago . Took me 2 months to get a reply from Network Tech. Dont think they know password. One of those not mine, not my issue.

1: Try CTRL+SHIFT+B / CTRL+C
2: The break sequence has to be done just after the nx-osxxxx load, just after the line : ''valid image'' to be done not before not too late after.
3: Do a "write erase"

Any cisco Experts i can sit with for say 30 min and see if they can show me how to clear 1 unit?

Im based in Northlands Business Park , Johannesburg. Very close to North Gate
