Copied and pasted from AVForums - just in case there are any audio fans here who don't frequent AVF for whatever reason...

Right, so my hoarding tendencies need to be cut short - I have too much unused stuff taking up space in my unofficial "kludge pit" room, and have decided to flog all of it... it's part of my extensive "to-do" list to neaten up the house during the holidays, while seemingly everyone else gets to frolic around in the ocean, sipping cocktails on the beachfront and just generally having a whale of a time.

FML.

Anyhow, at least I have a large stash of Stroh rum on hand

Everything must go folks..

Item 1: Sunfire True Subwoofer EQ 10 Signature (TS-EQ10) in Ebonized Rosewood

Price: R11 500
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 8.5/10 - Great - one small scratch on top, and only tiny cleaning scratches otherwise - please see note below regarding operation
Packaging: Nope
Shipping: Would prefer not to as I don't have the original box, but could make a plan if absolutely necessary.
Reason: No use for it in the living room, and I can't get dual opposing driver subwoofers to work right in the man-cave... they suffer a weird cancellation in the only spot I have available for a sub.

Incredibly powerful little 11.5" cube subwoofer with a 2700W @ 3.3 Ohm Tracking Downconverter amplifier designed by Bob Carver pushing dual 10" drivers.
Plays down to 18hz & kicks like a mule.

Includes calibration mic and original larger feet

***PLEASE NOTE***
The sub has a slight hum at idle after it's had signal fed to it and switched on... I've spoken to Bill Flannery, Sunfire repairman extraordinaire, and he's indicated that it would most likely require a re-cap on the main capacitors.
Depending on how far you sit from the sub, you may or may not hear it - I personally can't unless I've got my ear right up next to it (it actually took a mate to point it out to me in the first place) - but I'd rather make it known in the interest of full disclosure.
You're welcome to demo the unit to hear for yourself.

I know forum member pwatts has re-capped some Sunfire kit in the past, and he reckons that a re-cap on this shouldn't be too much of a hassle - so perhaps he could undertake it, or the job could be done up in JHB with the likes of ghostinthemachine, Nilam, or the other usual suspects for amp repairs.

Personally, if I were to keep it, I wouldn't bother getting it done yet.

Plagiarised pics of actual unit:

Item 2: Bowers & Wilkins PV1 Sub in black (x2)

Price: R8000 a piece
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 8/10 - Very good overall in the body, but the drivers have suffered minor pitting and small "dings" during their lifetime
Packaging: Yes, full original box + outer box
Shipping: At buyer's risk and expense.
Reason: No use for them in the living room, and I can't get dual opposing driver subwoofers to work right in the man-cave... they suffer a weird cancellation in the only spot I have available for a sub.

B&W's award winning Pressure Vessel design - 2x 8" drivers driven by a 500W ICEpower amp, inside a spherical aluminium shell. Tight, fast and accurate... the perfect lifestyle companion for a smaller HT setup or a set of bookshelves that need a bassy kick in the pants.
Plays down to 21hz - almost as low as the deep sea subs its design is based on. ;)

Item 3: Bowers & Wilkins ASW 750 in Black Ash

Price: R7000 onco
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 8/10 - Very good condition overall - some scratches on the top, and no feet supplied. No dings or dents, and grille is perfect. Works perfectly.
Packaging: No
Shipping: Would prefer not to, but at buyer's risk and expense if it has to happen.
Reason: Replaced it with an ASW 800 - it's been standing around doing diddly squat ever since. A bit too big for use in the mancave.

32kg sealed enclosure with a 12" paper-Kevlar composite cone driver, driven by a 1000W ICEpower amplifier (the same one used in the ASW 800 & 850 subs). Stereo Line inputs and outputs, selectable EQ & phase switches.
Tight, dynamic and authoritative - it stands head and shoulders above any of the 600 series subwoofer offerings - 610XP included.
Plays down to 20Hz @ -3dB, and 15Hz @ -6dB on EQ selection A

Item 4: Bowers & Wilkins M1 speakers (Mk1 in gloss black, 1 pair)

Price: R3500 onco for the pair
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 8.5/10 - Great condition, barring a ding in the one unit's grille due to careless transporting - shouldn't be too difficult to pop out given a little hook-pick and a bit of a patience. They play perfectly
Packaging: No
Shipping: At buyer's risk and expense.
Reason: Bought them to install as front-height speakers in the living room, but never got around to it - they now sit around waiting for a purpose in life.

Great little lifestyle / surround speakers... need I say more?

These include the chrome desktop / shelf stands, as well as the small wall mount brackets.

Item 5: Bowers & Wilkins CM Centre 1 (S1) in Rosenut

Price: R4500 onco
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 9/10 - Excellent condition, barring a small ding in one of the bottom front corners - hardly noticeable. Magnetic grille is still perfect.
Packaging: No
Shipping: At buyer's risk and expense.
Reason: Bought it on a whim to pair with the CM7's when they were in the man cave, but the colour threw me off and I sold the CM7's shortly afterwards - so the CMC sat around unused.

The smaller CM series center channel speaker - needs a bit of oomph to get going, but sounds really good when it does - a nice step up from 600 series center channels

Item 6: Vivere DAC

Price: R12 000 onco
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 10/10 - Immaculate - very well looked after. Includes original Apple remote.
Packaging: Yes
Shipping: At buyer's risk and expense.
Reason: I'm not committed enough to stereo listening to make proper use of it... I may still change my mind if I get the chance to play with it properly.

The fabled Byleveldt Vivere DAC - it does everything except make coffee and plays anything you could throw at it... According to some, it can even make you into a better lover.

Item 7: Wharfedale Pacific Evolution 30 floorstanders in Rosewood (1x pair)

Price: R4000 onco for the pair
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 7.5/10 - Good condition - a few small nicks and scratches, but nothing overtly unsightly. The grilles are excellent, apart from no longer wanting to stick to the cabinets... the plastic on their mounting lugs has gone brittle and broken off. They could be repaired with a bit of fabrication, or mounted with a bit of "boer-maak-'n-plan". They've just had their tweeters redone and crossovers checked by Willem
Packaging: Nope
Shipping: Would prefer not to, but at buyer's risk and expense.
Reason: Remnants from a larger HT set was sold off - they were to be my interim solution in the stereo system, but alas, that plan has been shelved indefinitely.

The Pacific Evolutions are a tier up from the Diamond series... compared to the 10.6, these have a more attractive, larger volume cabinet, real wood veneer (as opposed to vinyl laminate), stand on wooden bases with outrigger feet, play a bit deeper, and sound markedly better and more lively. I like them, a lot. I just have no use for them anymore.

Item 8: Sound Structures Trident 600mm speaker stands, black tri-pillar construction, with cherrywood base (1x pair)

Price: R3500 onco for the pair
Location: Petervale, Sandton - near the Rivonia offramp on the N1
Condition: 9/10 - Great condition - top plate spikes are a little tarnished / corroded, but a good clean and polishing should see them looking nice again.
Packaging: Nope
Shipping: Nope
Reason: Wall-mounting everything to safeguard our little hellraiser. Deep down, I really want to keep these just because they're so bloody well built, but I just have zero use for them...

Solid & bloody heavy - first class speaker stands.

Pic off the web: (mine look quite similar, but have a slightly lighter and more consistent colour in the wood)

Any chance you could point me in the direction to get a pair Wharfedale 10.3 or 10.6, and a 10 CS Centre channel - in black?
