But looking at the exam number here 640-822 ICND1 - Cisco Systems it looks like the exam has been changed a while back.

Yup, this curriculum is the previous from the current 200-101/100-101. However, the info in these books are still relevant, just some topics added, and some removed. Still a good foundation. GLWS
