Hi carbonites,

I want to make sure I have the most optimal cooling in my case and rectify the outstanding colour situation.

Colour situation includes 2x SP120 are RGB and 1x SP120 is RED (so all three are set to RED) and it does not match the rest of my case:

I want to use 3x white fans (RGB preferred) and something that will cool down the beasts during the pending summer.

Which one of the following would provide the best airflow for my GPU and CPU:
HD120 tri-pack (up to 54.4 CFM / 2.25 mmH20 @ 30dBa with 1750 RPM)
ML120 tri-pack (up to 47.3 CFM / 1.78 mmH20 @ 25dBa with 1600 RPM -- this one is weird, as the single FAN specs show 97 CFM / 3.0 mmH20 @ 37 dBA with 2000 RPM)
InWin Aurora tri-pack (up to 57.64 CFM / 2.77 mmAg @ 39dBA with turbo at 2000 RPM)

I don't know why the ML120 tri-pack specs differ to that of the single ML120 fans. Any ideas and recommendations?

Hey man,

Looking at these fans my suggestion would be to go for the ML120. From what I have heard the fan is far more robust and having a 5 year warranty will back that up.

Personally the fact that they are quieter than the other two while still having a decent CFM is a real bonus.

Remember when it comes to cooling, smooth directional air flow is the most important thing. It is far more important than just getting the max CFM into the case. As a basic tip, fans are generally mounted in the following locations: front, rear, top, and side. The fans on the front of the case are usually primary intakes, drawing ambient temperature air in to pass across hot components. The top and rear fans are exhausts, expelling the warm air out of the case and away from the internal components.

@Roobir
The Coolermaster MF120R's do the job very well in my case. I have 2 at the front attached to a 240mm radiator sucking cool air into the case, 2 at the top exhausting hot air upwards and 1 at the back exhausting hot air out the back. Basically what @Dante_son explained

Thanks for the feedback

Unfortunately, I have since changed my case layout with the CPU radiator and GPU radiator at the front. I believe the H80i radiator uses some form of ML120 fans and I added 2x ML120 fans to the H55 radiator (GPU). I no longer have the need for three fans in the front, only a single bright white LED fan at the back to exhaust. :)
