Calling all audiophiles..

Soo, fiance organised me an AE-5 Plus sound card for Xmas, been wanting one for ages..

I have it installed in the PC connected to my Logitech Z906 with a digital/optical cable. When I try play a DTS 5.1, no sound out the back speakers, only the fronts? If I change the default device on the creative control panel to digital, I have no sound at all?

Anyone used one of these things and got any advice please?
