The Mainboard blew as I was trying to replace the battery. My screwdriver slipped and shorted over a few pins. Apparently the power module on the board is blown. Maybe you can have it fixed. I don't have the patience.
Or you can use for spares. The 13" screen is in perfect condition without a scratch. The screen alone is worth over R2000.
These parts are in a perfect, usable condition:
- Screen
- 250GB 2.5" original HDD, SATA. Will work in any laptop.
- 2GB DDR3 Ram Module. Will work in any MacBook Pro.
- MacBook Unibody Base (the part in which the mainboard, trackpad, keyboard and everything else is fixed)
- Chiclet Keyboard. Compatible with any MacBook Pro
- Trackpad.
These parts are in a "meh", usable condition:
- Top cover. It has a few bumps and scratches
- Bottom cover. Same condition as top cover
- Battery. Doesn't last too long
- 60W Magsafe Adapter. The shell is broken and it looks bad but it works fine.
These parts are busted and not usable:
- Mainboard
- DVDRW Optical Drive
